Fat Fred the Graceful - Further ideas for that concept?

Hello there!
I'm playing a "Just for Fun" group with some other people.
We do not build serious and effective, though playable characters.

In general, we have funny scenes all over the evenings and I want my characters to be funny, too.

For my new concept I thought about Fat Fred the Graceful. Like the name and title tells us, he has to be fat and graceful.
Here are my ideas so far:

- Full Oracle, so Charisma supporting the "graceful".
- Nature Mystery giving me two things: Dump DEX (he's fat!) and using CHA for the AC (he's graceful!). The most important thing is the mount he get. He may be strong, but the horse can carry all his food, and he takes much food with him. He actually can't ride this mount, but he never tells.
"I love my dear horse so much, I won't make it suffer under my weight!"
- Lame Curse makes me slower, 'cause bigger people are slower!
- Maxing Survival, Profession (Cook/Brewer) - we are on an island, and food tastes better if tasty!
- Maxing Diplomacy or Intimidate - need to talk people into sharing their food. "I'm hungry" will never be a lie, so Bluff isn't needed.

We only use the hard cover books except Inner Sea World guide. I want him to be Human.

Some further ideas would be nice!
Greetings!

Sounds interesting. I might make him a Lunar Oracle. You get a full animal companion which can carry your stuff and effectively fight for you, a better version of the Cha benefit which adds to Reflex and AC and better additional options for other revelations.

Well, Lunar is in the Blood of Moon :/
Also his Reflex should be low :D

The animal companion would be the same anyhow, I guess.

The Bloatmage Initiate feat springs to mind, but that's not in a hardcover volume either.

I'm having trouble reconciling 'graceful' with 'slow', though. To me, the term speaks more of fluid (if not quick) movement than force of personality, so I'd actually expect him to have high Dexterity and Reflex. I'm envisioning him wearing light or no armour, just barely swaying out of the way of blows with exaggerated ballet-like grace to get all his bulk out of the way.

To that end, if you're not set on making Fred a spellcaster, maybe something like Free Hand Fighter and the Duelist prestige class, defensive fighting feats... Anything that gives a dodge bonus to AC.

When someone says "graceful" I think high Dex (physically graceful, like a dancer), more than Cha (I guess socially graceful, like the Queen).

If you mean more serene/social grace, I think the Lame curse can work for you. The Pope, monarchs, and head politicians often seem to walk slowly, possibly to emphasize their control over the situation.

I definitely think maxing Diplomacy is the way to go, and maybe Bluff. I don't think Intimidate fits here.

This seems more of a play style than mechanics. Just never seem rushed or flustered. Always in control and a bit understated.

Scarab Sages

The most graceful class option in the game IMO is the Flowing Monk. They trade out Fast Movement, so you aren't speedy, but you can deftly dodge blows or redirect attackers force against them.

You lost me at oracle. Dumping Dex just because he's fat. Give him a 20 dex and be a bard. You said you guys don't min max and this one breaks stereotypes and is therefore more interesting.

I second the nomination for bard, however, only as a dip (or only dip oracle). The main reason is the second level bard class feature Versatile Performance. He can use Perform: Dance in place of Acrobatics and Fly skill checks. Coupled with the Oracle's Nature mystery, this should do the trick!
