With the Inner Sea Gods coming out in Hardback, I am a bit concerned on how this would work out for Pathfinder Society. Seeing that this is an Additoinal Resource to the Core Rulebook, I would assume that this would be an optional item to buy.
However, because this book emphasizes edicts and how a person of faith, like a Cleric or Paladin, should behave and what things would make them fall from grace, it seems that it is essential to have this book.
Understanding what is ok and not ok is essential for not risking to pay for Atonements, but would this mean that a person worshipping Ragathiel (not certain if that Empyrial Lord is in the book) or any other God have to buy the book to make their character legal for play?

The assumption would be correct on Inner Sea Gods being an optional purchase. The content of this book and any effect on PFS would be speculation at best. Waiting until the updated Additional Resources is published would be the best bet. If I had to venture a guess of my own though, the edicts and conduct of a paladin or cleric would not be enforceable as not all players will have the book and it would not be added to the core assumption. As stated, this book would be good fluff besides what content has already been revealed.
I guess we shall see what happens when the Additional Resources update is posted. In the meantime, I will be looking forward to when the book gets to me or my FLGS gets it in stock.
