Wizard's Familiar & the Acadamae Graduate feat?

Advice

Hi Everyone,

I'm wondering what familiar would be best for a 1st level summoning focused wizard with the Acadamae Graduate feat for PFS?

Acadamae Graduate:
Prerequisites: Specialist wizard level 1st, cannot have conjuration as a forbidden school.

Benefit: Whenever you cast a prepared arcane spell from the conjuration (summoning) school that takes longer than a standard action to cast, reduce the casting time by one round (to a minimum casting time of one standard action). Casting a spell in this way is taxing and requires a Fortitude save (DC 15 + spell level) to resist becoming fatigued.

I'm thinking of taking a familiar that gives a +2 Fort save so that I can actually beat the DC to become fatigued.

How bad are the fatigued and exhausted conditions for the wizard?

Sovereign Court

Fatigued isn't so bad, exhausted is quite bad because it thrashes your defenses and reduces your movement drastically. So you can afford to fail one save but not two.

A familiar that provides a bonus to Fort is a good choice. Other than that, the raven familiar can talk, which makes it much more useful as a scout or even a second skill check (since familiars enjoy your skill ranks).

The Exchange

At 7th level, get a Lyrakien Improved Familiar for when you fail your save.

Traveler’s Friend (Su)

The performances and company of a lyrakien ease the burden of travel. Once per day, a creature may spend a minute listening to a lyrakien’s performance— doing so removes the effects of exhaustion and fatigue from the listener.
