Planning on Making a Trip Monk

Advice

So, here's the idea, and I need some help figuring out how this works because he will be using AoO's to provoke more AoO's. I don't know if the order allows this combo to work or not, so here it goes.

At 9th level he will qualify for, and get Greater Trip. If need be I will post the build, but I promise you he will. He will also have Vicious Stomp. He will focus Wolf Style.

He will also be mythic, I'm taking the Retributive Reach mythic ability which increases my reach by 5ft for the purpose of AoO's.

Here's the scenario:

Monk is in front of party next to Fighter.

Orc charges the group, he steps through my threatened area.

Wolf Style activates, I make an attack of opportunity.

He has 30ft movement speed normally, moved 20.

I deal 15 points of damage with my AoO which reduces his speed to 0.

He now qualifies for my trip provoked by Wolf Style.

Wolf Trip allows me to choose an adjacent square for him to fall prone.

I make him fall prone in front of the fighter and I.

Because I have greater trip, vicious stomp, and combat reflexes, at this point, who gets what attacks?

The warrior gets nothing and the monk gets two attacks (assuming a 14 at dexterity), after the trip.

That's because the trip attempt is in a threatened only by you, so greater trip activate for only you, and vicious stomp doesn't care about the warrior, even if the orc falls in his threatened area.

If I were you, I'd go the route of Flowing Monk. They're pretty boss for Tripping. Get Snake Fang in there somehow, and you'll be tripping like a madman!!

True, Flowing monks make for the best monk trippers. Then again, a flowing monk 2 / lore warden 18 makes for an even better tripper. You can add some rogue or vivisectionist alchemist in the mix for sneak attack when you get them flat-footed.

Scarab Sages

I wouldn't recommend a trip build unless you are playing in PFS. There are just too damn many things immune to tripping mid to high levels. In PFS is doesn't matter because most enemies are human, and you quit at 11.

Ki throw and Enhanced Ki throw so tripping deals damage are good idea.

Ki Diversity also lets you deal damage when tripped: meaning you deal double damage with unarmed strike when trip by spending Ki.

Underfoot Adepts get to scale size-wise for tripping, though that doesn't help you against that which flies/has no legs.

O yes, they make for ven better trippers than the flowing monk, they also combine with maneuver master. Better to make them Dex-based with Fury's Fall or be a Human with racial heritage (halfling).

They also multiclass successfully with druid as prototype00 has pointed out, the air elemental form lets you trip anything (as long as it has a meaning to trip it) and also gives a solution against flying enemies.
