Hey Paizo people,
I'm making an inquisitor who uses a bastard sword, and a race that was proficient with it, but am thinking of going tiefling(oni-spawn) for more effective ability scores. Now i cant use a bastard sword, and i want to use it one handed. So, i need proficiency with it. Should i burn a feat on it, or is there a better way? I dont want the heirloom trait thing, kinda dumb after a couple levels. Help me figure this out.
Thanks

Why is Heirloom Weapon trait "kinda dumb after a few levels?"
Are you concerned with it not being MW and thus not able to enchant?
You can make it MW with a 2nd level Cleric/Wizard spell (even in PFS) and 300gp, and then start enchanting it as normal.

Imbic, the katana.. eh. I just am a person who likes the way things look. And you know this guy is gonna be dual wielding(this was the tengu inquisitor). So bastard swords look way more epic. I do understand 5%(10% with keen) better critical chance is great. But 1d10 instead of 1d8 and the look is why not. and yah, forgot about deities thing. going with ragathiel.
