Module GM Prestige

I GMed the module Crypt of the Everflame for a group, and according to the Society rulebook this would net players 3 XP and 4 PP. However, after I logged it under sessions on the paizo site it listed "GM 2" under Prestige. I cross-referenced with a friend, who GMed the Free-RPG day module Master of the Fallen Fortress, which should reward 1 XP and 1 PP, but for him it also read "GM 2". Is this a bug? How much PP should I award to my character?

They system is crediting you with an extra "game" in your total number of games run for your GM star calculation.

As modules are usually longer than a single scenario, PFS management set things up for GMs to get an extra game credit for modules.

Mistwalker is correct, but at the risk of being verbose, you're looking at two different things.

"Free RPG Day" modules (We Be Goblins 1 and 2, Master of the Fallen Fortress, Dawn of the Scarlet Sun) all give 1 XP and 1 Prestige / Fame for a PFS character.
Modules and Sanctioned APs give 3 XP and 4 Prestige / Fame for a PFS character.

GMing any of the above gives 2 tables worth of credit towards GM stars.

Does that clear things up?

@Wolfspirit When i GMed We be goblins too! at a Con last year I was told by my VC to credit everyone 1xp and 2 PP for completing it. Every time ive played any of the Free RPG day games I've received 2 PP.

From the module under "Getting Credit":

Quote:
Because We Be Goblins Too! is shorter than most Pathfinder Modules, playing the adventure from beginning to end earns a player 1 XP and 1 Prestige Point. The GM likewise earns 1 XP and 1 Prestige Point for running the entire module.

I haven't seen anything that contradicts that. Of course, I also recently realized that a VC gave me 2 Prestige for Master of the Fallen Fortress and probably need to get them to correct that...

The online system seems to default (and you can't change it) to 2 PP for GMs on freerpgday scenarios though?

Liberty's Edge 4/5 5/5

The system is wrong; the Guide is correct. GMs get 4 PP for module/AP chapters, 2 PP for PFS scenarios, 1 PP for Free RPG Day modules (i.e. the maximum).

If people are aware that they have too much fame/prestige due to receiving 2 PP for a Free RPG Day module, they should get their next GM to sign off on a reduction of 1 fame/prestige.

Dark Archive

We Be Goblins comes with an extra page that very clearly says how much prestige you get from it for pathfinder society.

Just make sure your paper Chronicles are correct. That's what counts.

The online tracking system has the feature of ALWAYS giving a GM 2 prestige points when they take PC credit for the adventure no matter what type of adventure it is: scenario, 1 xp free game day module, 3 xp regular module, 3 xp sanctioned Adventure Path, etc. Just consider it a feature of the online tracking system and not tied to what your PC actually gets.
