Characters who are in are:
"Bloody" Heck
Tristan Beltahn
Tanya Veldon
I'm sorry to everyone else. And unfortunately, this is one character below the minimum 4 needed, and not a well-balanced party I think.
Would anyone mind playing 1 character created by me in addition to your own? Or am I being rude for asking?

Excellent. I don't believe there is any set etiquette, though its a bit unusual. My personal preference would still be to acquire another player, as I think RP is likely to be better in that event. If one of the others feels comfortable running two characters that would be awesome, I just would not like to see an automaton. Perhaps specifying the role we are seeking a bit and asking for at least a couple of paragraphs of backstory?
Looks like we are in need of a divine character, ideally a fighty divine character. At level 3 or so Tristan's Astral Constructs should be able to serve in the melee roll, but for the time being "Bloody" Heck could really use some backup!
I can see easy and natural links between all of our character backgrounds, Tristan and Tanya linked through Allustan, and Tristan and "Bloody" Heck linked by their hatred of Smenk. Maybe Bloody figured out that it was Tristan who burnt Smenk and bought him a drink for it, or some such?
Can I ask how you plan to run maps Elizabeth? If you don't have a plan I would highly recommend using google docs, its easy to access and if you set the permissions allows everyone to move their own characters which makes life much easier.
I would also encourage you to roll initiative and reactive perception checks for everyone most of the time, it makes things go much faster. I generally type out a set of dice rolls for everyones Init and reactive Perception and save it in the campaigns info tab so I can just paste it in as needed.

I noticed that Aurora was not included among the characters accepted.
I am not clear what happened, but maybe she needs more background. As noted, I am relatively new to PBP, and not clear on all the protocols.
It sounds like the group could use a divine caster and melee warrior,
so I am hopeful there is an opportunity for her to join the campaign.
Here is a more detailed background to tie her to the other characters.
Aurora Background
Aurora was raised by the Church of Pelor in Greyhawk City, after being
left as a baby at the doorstep of the church at dawn in a wicker basket.
She was fully indoctrinated in the teachings of Pelor, and studied hard
to become a priestess. One morning, she was selected to join a militant
order of warriors, who fight against evil and especially undead threats.
After several years of training, Aurora was assigned to the Greyhawk
Militia to assist patrols of the Greyhawk countryside. She provided
spiritual guidance, as well as healing and a strong arm for battle.
Later, she was transferred to Diamond Lake, a corrupt mining town,
as part of the Militia Garrison. Most of her time was spent helping
any miners injured in accidents and the poor with various diseases.
Aurora is fairly attractive, so she has also had several conflicts
with the local brothels and similar establishments for her services.
There has also been some significant friction with the more popular
religions of St. Cuthbert, Heironeous, and even Wee Jas, who seek
to advance their own agendas over that of Pelor. Aurora would like
nothing more than an opportunity to leave Diamond Lake with cause,
so that she can see the world and further advance the dogma of Pelor.

Elizabeth I would generally advise setting up a discussion thread, and a gameplay thread at this point. Those accepted can then check in with you and each other and link their characters a bit, etc. The gameplay thread can be used for dotting until we are ready to begin - this allows players to see the game in their campaigns tab which many use almost exclusively to navigate - I recommend asking players to dot and delete, which saves the gameplay thread from beginning with a number of empty OOC posts.
When you create those threads you should be offered an option to link them to this one in a campaign.
