Silver Crusade

25 pt level 13 Dhampir Inquisitor (Undead hunter) Musket Master 5, inquisitor 8
Now, is the 5 level dip into gunslinger (although works amazingly with flavor) To detrimental to the inquisitor? Losing Slayer and third judgment seems like it would hurt a good bit. We may also go into levels above 20, suggestions for this?

Str: 10
Dex: 17 (+2+3 levels) 22
Con: 14 (-2) 12
Int: 10
Wis: 16 (last 2 points will go here)
Cha: 10 (+2) 12
Traits: Fates Favored
1-Point Blank Shot
2-Feats: amateur gunslinger, gunsmith, Rapid Reload,
3- Precise Shot
5- Deadly Aim
7- Dodge
8- Target of Opportunity
9- Vital Strike
11- Mobility, Shake it off
13- Improved Vital Strike
As I level
15- Devastating strike
17- Shot on the Run
19- Greater Vital Strike

Magic Items (half off on weapon of choice, GM courtesy)
Celestial Armor
Belt of Phy. Might +6/+6
Headband of Wisdom +6
+4 seeking Double-Barreled Musket
Ring of Prot +1
Cloak of Res +3
(I think I added these up properly lol)
At a loss for some team work feats, also not sure on the domain, I was thinking either trying for travel, freedom, destruction, or Magic.

The idea is that he is mobile, precision shooter. as a standard action 1 attack deals 2d10+9+6+4+4 for a total of 2d10+23 damage. not that much per turn, but eh. I am open to suggestions. (thats not counting judgements + divine favor and the like btw)

5 lvls of musket master are fine. 12 lvls of Inquisitor for greater bane are enough. Losing slayer is not such a big deal, losing third judgment hurts more, but having Dex to damage is more important than these bonuses.

You can use the 3 remaining lvls for weapon master and access to weapon training, or for doing something more obscure, like dipping Alchemist and using the Vestigial arms and the Tectacle discovery so that you can use 2 muskets at once. Gross.

Vital strike is not bad, but there are better feats to take. Priority should go to richochet deed, deft shootist deed and the snap shot feat tree. Even Hammer the Gap is a better deal. And Improved Precise Shot is good to great, according to if you have the richochet deed or not.

Remeber that you can use specific ioun stones in a wayfidner for free Blind-Fight and Weapon Focus.

EDIT: Improved Critical (Musket) is also necessary as you cannot make your musket keen.

meh, seeking does improved precise shot for me. dont care for keen. I do like the extra arms thing, though doesn't fit the character.

any other thoughts?

What is a good diety to worship? Iomeade? Sareane?

I was actually thinking about going up to 7 in gunslinger for deadshot. I was wondering, does deadshot work when firing a doubled barrel musket at teh same time? As in. would I roll my attacks together for each barrel, adding up the damage die, then add vital strike to each one?

You should care about keen, criticals are one of the few ways to regain grit. Do not dissmiss it lightly, criticals are far more important to you than to a bow-wielder.

I would say that you can use a double barreled musket as you said, without rapid shot or haste though as with the normal musket.

Deadshot is indeed a great deed. But, if you are considering this, then you should probably go up to the 11th lvl for Signature deed (Deadshot), so that you can use it reliably. Otherwise, 1 grit per usage will quickly add up and you will not be able to use it consistently, meaning every round.

If you reach lvl 11, you will also want lvl 12 for the bonus feat and lvl 13 so that you can ignore ALL missfires. This means that you are left with only 7 lvls to play with. Going Inquisitor 5 for access to bane and Judgements is fine, and you can fill the last two lvls with trophy hunter ranger. Or, and probably better, you should ditch the whole inquisitor idea and take 4 lvls of weapon master fighter for feats, weapon training, gloves of dueling and weapon specialization, 2 lvls of trophy hunter ranger for the Amateur Gunslinger feat (trade it in for the +2 Grit) and the use of any 1st level Gunslinger deed, and a last lvl to whatever, an acrobat rogue will give a situational 1d6 bonus damage and a boost to some skills.

So, Musket Master 13 / Inquisitor 5 / Trophy Hunter 2

or Musket Master 13 / Weapon Master 4 / Trophy Hunter 2 / Acrobat rogue 1

Grand Lodge

You can get the Bane Baldric if all you want is the bane class feature from inquisitor. Then you can put most of your levels back into gunslinger.

And speaking of criticals, since you're a dhampir, I would also suggest taking the Numerological Gift trait from Blood of the Night flopbook. If you're not familiar with it, you roll 3d6 when you take the trait and record the number (it can't be changed). From then on, once per day, you can turn any d20 roll that comes up as that number into a nat 20.
