Hey all,
I came across the Orc Torc during voting on my Ipad, and wasn't able to 'keep' it. Although it might not have been as Superstar as some of the other entries, it appealed to me, especially as I'm running a rather orc-heavy PbP campaign at present.
If anyone has it, or the creator is out there, could they post or PM me please?

I loved the Orc Torc and upvoted it each time I saw it.
Sadly, I don't have the text. Just wanted to show my support to whoever designed that item. I hope to see you in the top32 next year! :)
Which version? There were actually two Orc Torcs in the contest, at least one of which survived the cull. Both filled near identical functions although one had a distinct absence of formatting. I have a copy of both I can forward but might be a couple of days!
Actually BOTH of them made it past the cull. But there was much confusion over the fact that two of them existed.
I have the 'unformatted' one saved, I'll pass that along to James; unfortunately it somehow never dawned on me there were two of them running around, so I never recorded the other one, if I even saw it.
I've sent along the better-formatted, 217-word orc torc.
Edit: Incidentally, of the Top 100, I never saw breach master's epaulets, footpad's lantern, or sporebane brooch. I'm also curious about the choker of mocking death, another item I didn't see. If anyone could send me the text from one or more of those items, it would be appreciated.

I loved the Orc Torc, I loved the notion of being able to acquire very low level ranger favoured enemy power.
I kind of liked the Orc Torc's too. The name needed work, but the flavor and idea behind them was cool.

I got the rest of Eric's wishlist. Unfortunately, mine are completely unformatted for the boards, but I can assure you they were all pretty much spot when they showed up as submission.

They are strangely similar, I wonder what whether it's mere coincidence, someone entering twice with a more refined version of the original idea, or someone copying someone else's idea but not remembering all the details.

DESCRIPTION:
The Orc Torc may hold up to 5 teeth of different creature types. Each tooth that is socketed in the torc grants a +1 bonus to hit versus the creature subtype of the tooth's previous owner. The maximum bonus to any single creature subtype is +1. Teeth must be removed from the mouth of the slain creature directly by the wearer of the Orc Torc to receive the bonus, and the wearer must be directly responsible for the attack that kills the creature. Socketing a tooth is a full-round action.

Description
This necklace is adorned with teeth and bones of fallen enemies. It is both a grizzly display of the prowess of the wearer and a boon.
The necklace can hold dozens of bone fragments and teeth but there are 5 iron clasps that can each hold a tooth of a fallen enemy that grants a boon. If the wearer of the necklace performs the killing blow of a creature it may extract a tooth and attach it to one of the clasps. This must be done within one minute of the killing blow and is a full round action. A boon cannot be gained for a creature without teeth. Use the ranger favored enemies table to set the type and subtype of the tooth.
The wearer gains hatred (+1 bonus on attack rolls) to the creatures whose teeth are held in the clasps. The bonus from a tooth does not stack with other teeth on the necklace.
As a standard action the wearer can cause a tooth to be consumed gaining defensive training (+4 dodge bonus to AC) for 1 minute versus the creature whose tooth was consumed.

The first one is the obviously worst in template, going a little deeper are some mechanical concerns too...
The both have an aura without having a spell in the construction.
The second one has caster level 5th which means 3rd levels spells which means the aura should be faint.
That's just the first few obvious things, but back to my Top 32 mondo reviews for me for now, musn't get distracted, musn't...

I don't think posting these here is a good idea, unless the original authors want to ask for feed back in the other thread it has been community etiquette to not comment on or share other people items without them soliciting it.
@ Andrew - perhaps you're right, though my intention was to commend rather than critique.
Plus also a little laziness, as several people wanted to see them and asked via PM, and I didn't want to copy/paste numerous times.
