I know of both Magical Lineage, Metamagic Master, but not of anything else i can find.
I am especially interested in anything helpful to the magus.
I don't care how specific the circumstances of its use, but i want to know about it.
For those who don't know, Metamagic Master and Magical lineage both allow you to select a single spell (Metamagic Master requires you to select a 1st through 3rd lvl spell, Magical lineage has no restriction) whenever you modify the selected spell with a metamagic, reduce the spell increase by one.
Now, This is NOT a discussion of the above listed traits, i just put them there for reference. I am only looking for OTHER ways to reduce the spell level increase caused by Metamagic.
3.5 conversions are good too, my DM allows them on a case by case basis.

I know you're not interested in a discussion, but keep in mind that "Metamagic Master" is, as presented at the d20PFSRD web-site, not a Pathfinder trait. Due to copyright restrictions, they can't tell you that it's actually "Wayang Spellhunter", which is a regional trait for Minata. It sounds like your GM is flexible, so he may let you take the trait anyways.
Wizards with the Universal School get Metamagic Mastery at 8th Level.
Sorcerors with the Arcane Bloodline get Metamagic Adept at 3rd Level (and you can get this using the Eldritch Heritage line of feats).
The Seeker Archetype available to Sorcerors and Oracles gets Seeker Magic at 15th Level.
The Spell Perfection feat at 15th level helps with metamagic costs.
I'll post again if I can think of anything else.

I assume you already know that Magus has some Metamagic type Arcana that saves on spell level - these don't give broad savings (only for specific metamagic), and are only 1/day use:
Empowered Magic
Maximized Magic
Quickened Magic
Silent Magic
Still Magic
Still, someone else might find the above list useful.
Arcane Tricksters get Tricky Spells at 5th Level (Still and Silent spell only).
Pathfinder Savant can cast Spells with Silent Spell using Silence Master at 6th Level.
Arclord of Nex gets Arcane Architect at 4th level which reduces costs for Silent and Widen spells.
I guess it's also worth mentioning Metamagic rods, as they essentially allow you to avoid the bump in spell levels too. Might be a problem for a Magus - sword in one hand, rod in other, which hand do you use to cast?
There are some cleric domains and archetypes that save on spell level for specific metamagic, like the Healing Domain giving Empower to all cure spells.

Thank you! I'm aware of the details on Metamagic Mastery.
The other info is great though. I think i can find a way to get around the whole rod issue... maybe. Store a rod in my sword? I mean, you can store wands, maybe i can find a way to store a metamagic rod inside the sword. Only holds one, but still...

A rod is about the size of a small mace or club, 2-3 feet long and weighs 5 pounds, can't really imagine one fitting in a sword as that is as much or more than most one handed blades in the game.

If 3.5 Conversions are good, look at Arcane Thesis and Metamagic School Focus from Complete Arcane.
As for the rod issue, most people like the Hexcrafter archetype because you can pick up the prehensile hair hex that will give you an extra "hand" to hold the rod with.
The tiefling race is also a popular choice for their prehensile tail alternate racial trait which allows you to do the same thing without having to take an archetype.
I'm sure something like mage hand or levitate may also be used with a little ingenuity and some lenience from a DM.

Or take both and carry TWO rods!!!
