I've got a question, I was told that when you had the Weapon Finesse feat and you used a weapon to perform a combat maneuvers I could use my dex in place of str for the CMB check, however when i read the FAQ it states that I can only use that method on disarm, trip and sunder.
My question is do I need to take Agile Maneuvers to use my whip when making grapple and steal maneuvers?
Courtesy of taking a -4 on the steal check and have Greater Whip Mastery allowing me to make grapple.

You can do any combat manuver that uses the weapon. That usually means trip disarm and sunder.
You can't usually make a grapple check with the whip. The DM may be nice and let you.
Steal combat maneuver Although this maneuver can only be performed if the target is within your reach, you can use a whip to steal an object from a target within range with a –4 penalty on the attack roll.- this will let you steal with the whip without any feats or anything.

Wall o' Text incoming:
Weapon Finesse lets you use your Dex mod instead of your Str mod for combat maneuvers done with a finesseable weapon, including the whip.
The basic combat maneuvers done with weapons are Trip, Disarm and Sunder.
As per one of the Blog posts, if the weapon has the Trip keyword, like the whip, you can also use the weapon to make Drag and Reposition maneuvers.
And, with the feat of Greater Whip Mastery, you can perform Grapple maneuvers with your whip.
In this case, with the proper feats, you can use your Dex mod instead of Str mod for Disarm, Sunder, Trip, Drag, Reposition and Grapple maneuvers with your whip.
NOte: With buy-in from your GM, you might also be able to do Dirty Tricks with your whip. (An as example, I could easily see someone using a dirty trick with a whip to make a cut on someone's forehead, causing a gush of blood that temporarily blinds them.)
