(Sp) Mythic Spell Power. A question still needs answering

Mythic Spellpower (sp): You have a pool of magical power you can draw upon for casting mythic spells. Up to twice per day, you can use this power to cast a mythic spell without expending any uses of mythic power. You can select this ability up to three times; each time you do, you gain two additional uses of this ability per day.

We are aware of the you can augment the spells technically being able to cast a Mythic spell even if it has 1000000 mythic power needed to augment it.

The confusing question is: Does Mythic spellpower allow you to cast the mythic spell as a spell like ability ignoring any material components and augments just like a Spell like ability would.
Or
Does it simply give you a spell like ability of a pool of magical power that you can sub out instead of Using mythic surges.

Basically so far we are at a 2 to 2 vote on this by the answers we have gotten so far. so basically this has turn into a interpretation question But I would defiantly like a solid answer. I can see the argument either way, but Id like to nail this down with solid fact instead of answers like....This is iffy....I think its this....I want rulings on this one as it can majorly affect game play.

Thank you!

It says "cast a mythic spell". I would think that you cast as normal, exactly the same as you would when using your regular mythic points.
It's a bit like legendary power points that legendary items get but in this case it can only be used to cast spells.

FAQ'd.

It seems to be very clearly the second scenario. It's essentially a feat that only alters one aspect of casting a mythic spell, the expenditure of the base one mythic point to do so.

All other functions would remain the same. If you want to augment your mythic spell and have the tier to do so, you would use an additional usage for each mythic point that would be additionally spent for the augment.

You would still use a prepared spell or spontaneous spell slot as normal.

I'd have to say it's pretty clear that since it says, in the description "you can use this power to cast a mythic spell," you're casting a spell. Not using it as a spell like ability. Also, mythic spellpower doesn't say anything about ignoring components other than the mythic power point usage for mythic spells.

All this ability does is make it less expensive to cast augmented mythic spells. It doesn't add any additional functionality beyond that.

It makes it less expensive to cast mythic spells as well (i.e. free). It essentially gives you a dedicated set of points for casting mythic spells. Given that mythic points DO have other uses even for casters, it's not insignificant.
