I would like to add my thanks to the awesome design team, and to awesome authors like Amber E. Scott, who I am told is responsible for making the most awesome NPC since Ameiko: Anevia Tirabade!

Seriously, you guys are awesome, making an incredible product that is also very inclusive.

I'm not sure how to describe it exactly, but I've always been happy about how "careful" the developers have been with their efforts. In the play testing, in their customer support, in their patience, in their avoidance of declaring previous works outdated (except when their more focused setting-related stuff ends up retconning the more generalized stuff, which ends up being a necessity), and especially their efforts to be inclusive.

Remember how, in first and second edition, magic trans-gender stuff was intended to be slipped in as a GM's practical joke? Now, thanks to Paizo's efforts, characters can undertake personal quests of discovery to seek them out, and if it turns out not to work out the way they hope, they can always seek out another one!

There's a well-thought-out level of maturity in every product I've read, which is a part of why I've gotten more into Golarion than any other RPG official setting. Keep up the good work!

Is that a thing now? I thought that was and still is a thing of DM fiat.

Look in the Core Rulebook's section on Cursed Items. There's still one of those. If you want to get a feel for it beforehand, to see whether it would work for you, there's always Alter Self or Polymorph.

In my relative short time in Pathfinder it's happened at least once against a player's will(save) so maybe.

Those aren't new to pathfinder.

Everyone makes mistakes, even a great team of devs like Pathfinder has (I am looking at the corner exception for reach weapons here…). And even when there’s no mistake per se, there are calls that nerf a favorite build or derail a argument or something, so people don’t like them.

And you know that’s fine. The dev team here really tries to fix mistakes, discrepancies, bad rulings, holes, and what-not. They actively respond, even in the face of horribly rude bashing.

But that’s the point. It’s fine to disagree. Sean knows I didn’t like his call that a Fireball would set a adventurers garb on fire. We posted back and forth a bit, joked about it a bit, and went on. I still respect Sean, even tho I disagree. (and I like to think he feels the same)

There’s absolutely no reason to be a jerk about a game like so many are. Especially to the hard working and underpaid developers here at Paizo.

Disagree? Sure, and please do so. But don’t be rude.

The staff at Paizo are some of the most reachable, open and most reasonable I have had occasion to post with.

Even when they’re wrong. Especially when they're wrong.

Don't let the pendulum swing the whole way back. Paizo isn't incompetent or perfect. Brown nosing is just as bad as treating every small incident as a catastrophe. Not saying you're wrong, but pretty much every forum run by an organization I've ever seen does the same thing. With every incident involving backlash, there is an immediate swing in the opposite direction. Neither of which is entirely objective.

It is GOOD to have disagreement and backlash over things, and it is good to have people to defend paizo. The most reasonable decisions are usually somewhere in the middle, so its good to have both.

Well, it's always a good idea to keep that in mind. Two different extremes don't neutralize each other so much as they block out all reasonable debate with a false dichotomy.

...and no, while those things I mentioned aren't new to Pathfinder, the attitude to them has changed.
