Useful wands for familiars

Advice

Greetings friends,

I come to you with a fairly simple question that I hope you will be able to give me insight into!

So I will be getting an improved familiar in the near future and have the desire to turn him into a UMD monkey (of which the mechanics and particulars have been happily taken care of). However, my main concern is I'm not 100% sure what to give him in order to maximize his potential.

I'll be using an Imp that will at most times be invisible and up to this point have settled on a wand of Ill Omen, but if anyone else can think of some particularly useful spells to throw onto wands that would be great!

The spells themselves should be relatively universal and can be party buffs, heals, or debuffs!

Any input would be greatly appreciated!

If he goes invisible he can go around the battle healing with a wand without becoming visible again :P

Or he can have a wand of any of the summoning type spells and not become visible.

Those two are the best choices in my opinion.

Prayer, perhaps? Haste? Those two are good buff spells, but they waste actions getting up and running. Those are lvl 3 spells, which could be expensive. Summoning monsters (which will be SM 1 and 2 mostly, meaning celestial/fiendish animals) is good, but then again, perhaps a monkey isn't exactly a gifted strategist? Would they attack the right people, if summoned by an invisible monkey? And so on.

Go Fireball.

Summons and buffs; these are your moneymakers. Healing during combat is iffy; direct attacks threaten to expose your imp; debuffs can be resisted and thus may be wasted actions.

1. speech is a free action
2. an imp has telepathy

You command the imp as a free action in his mind to place a summoned creature here or a buff there. This way you are never caught off guard with your buffs down or flankers for your rogue-type.

Blur or invisibility are both good spells to have in a wand. If you or your friends don't have stat-boosting items, a wand of one of them would be handy as well. Second the recommendation of haste and prayer as well. Displacement might be better than blur, too.

4th level spells are very expensive in wands, but it's hard to beat dimension door.

And, finally, a wand of silent image, or major image, has so many uses its hard to specify them. Flexibility is good.
