| Tarina |
We need to figure out what role the cohorts are filling while waiting for the main characters to return first, correct?
Statistically, Tarina fits the following roles: Ruler, Consort, Councilor, General, Grand Diplomat, Heir, High Priest, and Magister.
From a roleplay standpoint, I feel that Heir and High Priest fit Tarina best. However, declaring Tarina as Heir would be declaring Venetia as Ruler, and would have the roleplay complications of Tarina declaring herself Venetia's daughter, publicly, risking all that such a declaration would cause. Remember that Tarina is an illegitimate child.
However I feel that rather then placing one of the cohorts into a Ruler or Consort role, we should put either Tarina or Rupert's daughter into the Heir role, this results in the Ruler not being left vacant while waiting on the main characters to return without having to change the ruler.

Hi!
I will have Internet access at least for a week or so...
But I expect all of you having a great time with the new year and everything. Party on!
Don't rush, we are here for the long run.
Corsario
|
Still no solution to my Internet woes, but I am still around. We will continue when I solve the connectivity outage.
I hope your year is coming out fine!
| Kiritta Narvagoth |
All, I think that I should step back from this campaign. I understand that it is sort of floating right now while Corsario attempts to get consistent Internet. However, I know that the plan is to have a fairly high quantity of posting, and I think that running two, three with the animal companion, characters in a single campaign will be more than I can handle between work and far too many other campaigns. Please feel free to use Kiritta and Halcorg as NPCs in the campaign, or to have them wander off wherever Harrowers wander to.
Corsario
|
I am sad to hear that, Kiritta and Halcorg are great characters.
About my Internet, I will have this weekend, and the I should be able to have it back permanently in about month and a half.
I will post a new map tomorrow, and we'll see for there.
Corsario
|
Just my luck... I got internet for a couple of days and Paizo's site starts devouring posts...
I will post the map and secrets of each player, don't despair.
Corsario
|
Finally, the promised map!
THIS ONE has the coordinates so we can talk especific hexes, terrains and rivers and/or roads.
I'll post more info later.
Corsario

I am putting an ultimatum on myself.
The campaign resumes on March 1st.
Who is still on?
| Ni'Tir and Chimalma |
Danath and I are still here. He's busy with house stuff and I am dealing with health issues. I will have part of the map for trivium up when I get time. Apologies all its been a bad few weeks. ;(
| Szymon Wojcik |
present
However, I just realized that the Crane Wing Errata destroyed this build and concept.
I'll think about it if the game continues.
| Ni'Tir and Chimalma |
yeah I may have to redo Ni'Tir into something I can play more stablly, I find my ability to play a druid well is shaky. =/
Corsario

I am glad to see you all are here, except for Tirion (I blame myself for that one) and Danath (Danath and Seraph - getting worried about him).
About Tirion, and his characters Kiritta and Halcorg, we well use them as NPC's, under DM (and player, when useful) control, for the time being.
About my Internet, I have some Internet back, so I should be able to resume the game, even if in a "partial" time slot. But I think I have take long enough, so it's time I step up to the challenge.
About Szymon: Can you walk me through the errata changes to see if we can ignore them?
About Ni'Tir: Don't worry, you are doing it fine.

About Szymon: Can you walk me through the errata changes to see if we can ignore them?
| Ni'Tir and Chimalma |
Danath is still in I willget him to check in tonight.
| Seraph Whitemoor |
They really did kill the Crane wing feat, it was a bit strong before but now its kinda pointless...
I absolutely Hate feats that require before the roll is seen. In PBP's it still works but at the game table its so lame, because sometimes you use it on a roll that misses anyway or one that absolutely strikes no matter what.
Although the discussion was painful to read, so much anger and justifiably so.
However I digress. The Silver Dragonflight march to the defense of the kingdom once more. We stand with ya Corsario. ;)
| Danath Kirion |
@Everyone: Good to see you all! Been battling a house that was infested with Mold. Too bad I didn't know about it BEFORE buying the thing...
However it is cleared out, along with my funds for this particular money pit, and is approved for sale by more inspectors then I ever wish to deal with again...
| Seraph Whitemoor |
Helping Ni get the original rolls and original setup posted as soon as we can. Google docs isn't being particularly nice about it. But he did get some great rolls and the initial setup of the kingdom puts our Economy pretty high.
He got into a car accident and has been roughing it for a bit, I will see what I can do.
Corsario
|
Glad to see you!
Read about the changes in the Crane feat line... Szymon is free to ignore the errata and keep as he is. I like his style.
| Janus Sevenstar |
Speaking of errata, are we using the errata on weapon cords? This game started when they could be used as a swift action. Now they are a move action. I think the change was made because of some shenanigans involving Gunslingers, not Butterfingered Oracles.
Corsario
|
So... I can drop something as a free action... Move to draw something else... Standard to use it.... Drop it as another free action.... And Swift to grab the first thing again... Or free...
In 6 seconds...
Sounds possible, more if you have "practiced" it... the only thing is that the hand with the attached cord would have "issues", but they seem to be taken into account anyway...
However, you cannot switch to a different weapon without first untying the cord (a full-round action) or cutting it (a move action or an attack, hardness 0, 0 hp). Unlike a locked gauntlet, you can still use a hand with a weapon cord, though a dangling weapon may interfere with finer actions.
I don't see the difference, or the "abuse" of it that requires to change from free to swift.
So yes, no problem, you can do it as a free action...| Venetia Medvyed |
The weapon cord was changed purely to prevent gunslinger shenanigans, no other class can really abuse it.
Also, were we supposed to level up any of the characters? I remember that the Cohorts are supposed to level up to 6th, and I still need to do that, but don't recall if we're supposed to do anything else before we resume.
Corsario
|
Ok, here we go!
So... the cohorts are alone in the Kingdom, so they need to choose:
- Kingdom name
- Kingdom Alignment
- Desired Leadership Roles (Note: More than two can ask for the same one, and we resolve who gets what. NPCs can try to get a Leadership role too)
- Ruler
- Councilor
- General
- Grand Diplomat
- High Priest
- Magister
- Marshal
- Spymaster
- Treasurer
- Warden
There are more roles, you can ask for them if you want. But I put the more important ones.
- Where do you want to build your first settlement?
- Name of the settlement
- What do you want to build in the settlement
- Special laws or ideas that you want to apply on your new kingdom
Note: Be creative! Don't tie yourselves with the things in the rules, if you have ideas, let them flow. Also, think you are in the Stolen Lands... things here can be different than in other places.
| Szymon Wojcik |
Before we start making all those decisions, why don't move the gameplays forward a week to see who is returning to play. We should write the others out of the story and then make those decisions.
And for my recollection, I thought we were level 6 cohort and level 7 regular/ 1 mythic for the barons. If 8/1, I've got to level Szymon again.
Corsario
|
Welcome back! The Barons, which started at level 7 have gained a level after escaping from the first world with their lives, and defeating the dragon and recaps and saving the mother and child. They also gain a Mythic Tier in the process by throwing themselves into the Dark Tapestry. Is it a mystery where their power comes from, but they have it.
The cohorts while escaping Restov and defeating the bandits (and setting up Sloboda) gain a level, so they are level 6 now.
The Mythic Tiers are gained by "special" encounters. Like the first world one. They won't see them every day.
But don't worry, the first one for the cohorts is in the wild lands, moving towards their capital as a storm, ready to destroy them.
Just need for you to build your capital on the first place. :P
A recap is in the works.
About waiting to see who is still on, I think all of you, and If not, fell free to use them as NPC. But I want to see who wants what.
| Kiritta Narvagoth |
Despite my earlier decision, I am still around. I need to level Halcorg, but will try to keep up with the pace. If this game really picks up again, I might have to pull out as I am in WAY WAY to many campaigns, but I want to see how the Mythic stuff works and really want to play a Kingmaker. I am in another one which I loved, but it has effectively stopped at this point since we are only getting 1-2 posts per month from the DM.
| Ni'Tir and Chimalma |
Please let me know what roles everyone wants and I will redo the list for Ruler/Positions.
I have rolls done up already but my Google docs/work schedule is killing me at the moment.
Trying to make a workable Kingmaker sheet including images and whatnot to represent the build of the town. It's a slow process. :(
| Tatiana Fortuna |
Tatiana has Wisdom so prefers High Priestess (since she's a prophet of Desna) or Marshal (if the kingdom doesn't want to be so Desna)
Corsario
|
Don't follow the rules only. Also go with your characters interests and wants. If you have a think your character can be a good unconventional leader go for it, we can alter the rules to fit it if it makes sense, or even play a kingdom where some leadership role is not "optimally" filled, as it happens in real life.
Kiritta/Halcorg: Welcome back! Really glad to have you back!
| Ni'Tir and Chimalma |

Are we starting from scratch on the kingdom build up Corsario?
If so I can discard what I have thus far then and focus on making a working sheet in google docs.

If you want help on the maps, I have all the buildings imported into MapTools and can also do the hexes for the nation. I was doing this for my other Kingmaker which is going somewhere between slow and not-at-all right now.
I can easily drop them into a Google Drive and share them.

Whatever you have roll works, just need to check and have all (or most) aboard.
As Tarina said, she would need to "explain" how she is the heir to the kingdom... even if right now she would be the ruler.
But i have to say you need somebody more "visible" for ruler... Tarina is not really the extroverted kind, as far as I have seen her.
And by the way... no colonizing the Kobold lands for now... Anything anyone builds there over the day gets destroyed over the night, and all attempts to travel there gets the victim of traps and ambushes.
