Hello all!
I am brand new to this universe. With a modest yet thorough research of the Core Rules I have decided to GM with some buds(all of whom are likewise bright-eyed babes of PF).
I want to get them as excited as I am about the game. Mythic is very interesting to me in its value for story advancement and player enjoyment. So I am willing to go there in time if we gel well.
My question is: Can I start a complete rookie session with wrath of the righteous? What if we do not go mythic, will this still work?
Thanks!!!

Let's put it this way. An internet friend of mine had been insisting I run a game for him and his friend over Skype for months. Finally I caved and said okay... and was looking for an easy module to put them through so I didn't have to do any work. I came across the Anniversary Edition of Runelords... and then after reading it fell in love.
I was so impressed with the job Paizo did with Runelords that when I found out about Reign of Winter? I subscribed to it (just missing out on the first issue which I bought via PDF). Wrath of the Righteous has similarly impressed me.

Here's an interesting thought: What are some of the suggestions for running a 5 man group?
Myself I like balanced parties: 2 tanks, 2 support, and 1 healer. Especially for newbies, I think that helps them survive better. But I still want some challenge for the party as well. Recommendations? I thought giving everything a + 1 to hit and 5 extra HP / level of the party / creature.
I do recommend RotRl too. I'm GMing a party right now for the AP, and they seem to thouroughly enjoy it.
As for Wrath of the Righteous:
See I'm debating this myself. I'm moving to a new city, and I will have to stop my RotRl game (I hate skyping). So for my new group, I don't know if I want to repeat RotRl, I'm currently at the end of book 3, or start a new AP specifically WotR. Not quite sure, so need opinions please.

I would say no, not to begin with. The extra rules for Mythic play would complicate things for you.
As the others have suggested either start with a couple of modules, see how things go then think about it or better still or go with Rise of the Runelords then try it after that (Its cheaper too as its one hardbook book).
Also as others have said I would wait until the whole AP is out before deciding to run it. You really need to know the AP as a whole as some plot points anad NPC's will be referenced through out and Its easier to see the whole picture first.
