The Aspis Consortium just isn't making it. Its like being opposed by 7-11. They're too generic. What do they stand for? What are their motives? How are they different from other evil entities?
I realize there are only so many mods available, but I'm sure in the richness of Golarion, there are other organizations to oppose the pathfinders. Lets see some of them.

They're a slightly eviler dutch east india company. Unlike most evil organizations they have a complete gnome underwear diagram: they have a clear sensible goal (profit), and a reasonable means of achieving that goal. (start wars, sell to both sides. Get evil artifacts. Sell evil artifacts.

You'd have to ask yourself what the goals of the society actually are, the find someone who actually opposes them and works against them.
Seek out unexplored ruins, collect information and artifacts for study, cataloging, and storage (and protection, in some cases). Seems like a group that likes to do the same, but sell the spoils to the highest bidder regardless of the end result, would be a perfect opposing group. Hmmm... Maybe a group like the Aspis Consortium?
If you're in this to fight evil, protect the innocent, and get the girl, you've probably joined the wrong group.

There's always the Golden League, they do show up in a scenario or two, and a sanctioned module...
Of course, they are usually there in cahoots with the Aspis Consortium, so...
And it doesn't help in the villain department that one of the majort sources for villains has a group within the Pathfinder Society already working for their goals (Cheliax, I'm looking at you).
Season 2 had the evil Shaow Lodge, of course.
Season 4 had the evil(?) Cult of Lissala....
Season 5 is going to have demons. Probably lots and lots of demons. And, just when you think you have defeated them, more demons!

Well who would be organized and oppose a group of explorers internationally?
Your just grave robbers and looters, your not trying to enact sweeping global policy change or anything.
Maybe some kind of Golarian equivalent of Interpol?
That would actually be kind of fun. Koichi Zenigata just coming down on us constantly. I think I've got my next few PFS characters now.

I could use an organization like that! Maybe with a bit of find great treasure added.

I could think of plenty of people opposed to grave robbing and looting...

Based on posts around here lately, I'm thinking the primary enemies these days are Thread Necromancers. Evil bastards, leaving zombie threads walking around like they're alive, fooling people into responding to year old posts, because they didn't check the date first and think it's a current conversation.

I wouldn't mind the society being opposed by a seemingly good organization. Or at least one that paints themselves as being righteous. It will be really easy to paint the society as evil given our numerous shady dealings.
I am thinking something on the lines of Encounter at Farpoint, but with a less bumbling and omnipotent foe.

Or replies to 4 year old posts. Eek. O.o

No need to paint over evil as evil, we do a good enough job shaking down people as is!

Yes. PEOPLE. Not organizations, and certainly not international ones. It wouldn't make sense for the Pathfinder Society to have more then just a competition style "foe" given what it actually does. It can certainly have local opponents and governments that disapprove but it also isn't doing anything that need to actually devote resources towards fighting in any extra significant manner.

This sounds like it would be right up the Cult of Norgorber's alley. It's all about keeping secrets and preventing knowledge from coming to light. The faith is pretty wide ranging, has Absalom as a center of worship but is secretive enough to have agents pretty much everywhere.
I could see them as a recurring villain-type organization, even the foil for a season.

Is "Thread Necromancy" an evil action in PFS?

There are several PCs with ties to Norgorber. Sneaky Neutral types, and halflings, mostly.

True.. but there are what.. like 3 factions of the church and it's not too centralized. I don't NOT see this being a problem making one Cult of the Norgorber being the bad guy.

Darklight Sisterhood? I vaguely remember someone said they got dropped from the game though, which is too bad. An organization from Cheliax made up of women + access to summoned devils = awesome.
That would be awesome! And they do exist as a direct response to the existence of the PFS.

They're still good for home games I suppose.

Ah, hadn't thought of that.
