Wait the level 4 iconics are no longer valid?
I usually end up with a lot of tables of 3 in the mid-tiers (a lot of new players and a lot of old ones=not so much with middle levels)...if we don't have a pregen NPC for the 4th level it's going to mean cancelled games.
Or is there other option?
Hoping to avoid cancelling tables...

the organised play guide 5.0 says (p6)
If you don’t have time to create a new character or simply wish to try out a new character class, you may choose to use one of several level-appropriate pregenerated characters available at paizo.com/pathfindersociety
also on p28
For modules and Adventure Path content below 9th level,if you do not have a character in the correct level range, you may use a Pathfinder Society pregenerated character, available on paizo.com or the 1st- and 7th-level iconic characters on pages 275–297 of the Pathfinder RPG NPC Codex.

Yes, as stated above the regular iconics will still have 1st, 4th, and 7th level versions.
Kyra, Valeros, Ezren, and Merisiel (plus the Ninja, Samuarai, and Gunslinger from Ultimate Combat) will all stay the same.
There has never been a lvl 4 pre-gen for the other Iconics from the NPC Codex though. So Lem, the Bard, et al - will still only have the lvl 1 and 7 pre-gens available for PFS, for now.
There is talk of adding the lvl 4 versions of the NPC Codex iconics, if I have heard correctly, but nothing has come of it.

My reading of the new Pfs guide days is that only pre-gens of first and seventh level from the Ultimate Npc book are now legal. Am I correct or is this a mistake and we can still use level 4 pre-gens after August 15th?
You missed a word or two in your reading I think...

There's nothing in the guide that says the 4th level pregens available on paizo.com are no longer legal.

The Guide is not the only thing we've revised for Season 5. I think you'll be pleased with some of the other updates we'll be revealing in the coming days.

Cool beans. Had a worried moment there.
Kyra 4th level pregen, shook her head as if to clear it.
"What's wrong Kyra?" asked Ezren.
"For a moment my god gave me a vision of non-existence. It was, to say the least, mildly disturbing." she shuddered.
"Wow, me too!" exclaimed Merisiel.
"Aye, me as well..." grumbled the gruff-looking human clad in a breastplate, longsword in his right hand, a shortsword in his left.
"Psst." Merisiel poked Kyra "Who's the grumpy gus in the heavy armor and two swords..."
"I forget...I see him every now and then at the inn, but he always gets left behind when we get a call for an adventure. Poor fella." sighed Kyra.
:)

Mike, I'm really glad to see you posting like this. With all the craziness that has been going on, I was worried it'd be stressing you out.
I hope after a couple of years of this Mike is able to shake off the ridiculousness and press on. Otherwise the community would drive one coordinator insane after another.

Someone get the adamantine straightjacket! The Nightmare Scenario is happening!
Good thing some naive Pathfinders just dropped off a Potion of Dragon Control (all)
Back in your cave lizard! Go eat a goblin. There are about 14 more of them running around here somewhere.
BWAHAHAHAHAH

Wait! Are you saying we're not supposed to be driving the coordinators insane??? I thought that was the whole point.
