Advanced player guide

Is the advanced player guide worth buying? I looked through other books and a lot of them refer to the advanced player. So is the advanced player guide worth buying? One last thing, I do enjoy more rules if that affects your answer.

It's worth it - provided your whole group uses the book.

I class the APG as just short of 'essential'. By all means, use your discretion: pick and choose what you're going to allow at your table. But there's a lot of neat stuff there, and I for one allow "everything in the APG except..." rather than "only the following from the APG."
