Inquisitor Feat Advice

Advice

So, I'm in need of some advice, this time in a much more specific area. First, let me say thanks to folks who helped narrow things down with inquisitor. This'll be an inquisitor of Besmara that wields a rapier and has the Chaos domain. Almost stereotypical in his piratical behavior.

What I'm trying to decide on is his teamwork feats. He's going to be human, so he's going Weapon Finesse for his bonus human feat & his regular choices are as follows:

1: Combat Casting, 3: Piranha Strike, 5: Weapon Focus (Rapier), 7: Improved Initiative, 9: Combat Reflexes, 11: Branded for Retribution, 13: Extended Bane, 15: Dodge, 17: Mobility, 19: Spring Attack.

I feel like my feats, overall, are messed up.

They are just all over the place.
Spring Att is futile.
Replace it for something else.

Piranha Strike does not work with rapiers.
Branded for Retribution is horrible. You waste your turn and three bane rounds to give your allies +2 attack, +2d6+2 points of damage.

What are your stats? I recommend to get at least strength 13 for Power Attack (and Cornugon Smash).

Yeah, looking again, I realized that it is all messed up. I'm thinking now that I may go with a boarding pike as his weapon of choice and build from there. Thoughts and suggestions?

Outflank and Precise Strike come to mind for melee based teamwork feats.

Without weapon finesse a rapier is still a great weapon. Build your strength up and take power attack. You can two hand it when you need to as well. Here are my suggestions for feats:

1: Combat Casting, 3: Power Attack, 5: Weapon Focus (Rapier), 7: Step Up, 9: Combat Reflexes, 11: Following Step, 13: Extended Bane, 15: Step Up & Strike, 17: Furious Focus

I only went to 17 because I am assuming you are playing skull and shackles and it only goes up to about 16.

Teamwork Feats:

3: Lookout, 6: Precise Strike, 9: Outflank, 12: Coordinated Charge, 15: Paired Opportunists.

Branded for Retribution may not seem so great (with the 3 rounds of bane lost for only one turn), but it can be an amazing ability when you fight a BBEG with DR that not everyone in your party can by-pass. That +2 bonus to enhancement can do wonders, even if it is for only one round.

Jadeite: This is a 25 point buy, with all increases only costing 1.

Imbicatus: A good idea that I'll keep in mind.

Seriphim84: I'll definitely keep that in mind that it only goes to 16. I was wondering if, since he's likely going to end up with a reach weapon (since we have a dex-based fighter), would going the route of Power Attack/Cornugon Smash/Dazzling Display sort of thing? That way he's big on damage and not quite as fancy.

Donald Robinson: Duly noted.
