Clairvoyance Vs. Gaze Attacks

Rules Questions

Hey everyone,

Does anyone know if a gaze attack can effect someone using a clairvoyance effect? The PRD for both clairvoyance and monster gaze attacks don't address the situation. Please let me know as this came up in a discussion during a game and no one (DM included) could figure out the answer.

Thanks

According to the universal monster rules for Gaze: "Only looking directly at a creature with a gaze attack leaves an opponent vulnerable."

So any peeping Diviner should be safe.

The classic method (from Perseus in Greek Mythology) for avoiding a gaze attack is to use your polished shield and look at the offending visage. Clairvoyance is safe although it doesn't give you the option of cutting Medusa's head off.

Thanks guys. That'll help a lot.
