That's another issue...I've played a more powerful version...not really looking to play it.Well that's enough for me to create a thread at least.
It's early morning for me here in Australia. I have to go to work now, so I'll create an OOC thread this afternoon and put a link here for you guys to follow.
Eldon, it seems to be most are keen on Runelords, and I'm partial to that one myself sorry to say. If you still want to participate, feel free, though I understand if you want to bow out.
Cheers
Yeah...but the second part still holds true...I'm not really into the meteor hammer fighter right now. It's interesting, and I'll probably build him up, but I've been there and done that...better (for a few levels, minimum),
If someone actually wanted me in as another class, I'd consider it. I could even build another martial, but it's gotten a bit old over the past few days. :-/

One of my players has responded to none of the messages asking him if he was going to play in about a month, so I'm assuming the answer is "No" going forward.Very tempting. Is there a role needing to be filled?
It's a gestalt game, so everything is fairly well covered.
We've got an Archer Paladin/Ranger (Who may or not be staying in this game, a mutual friend of ours is trying to get into Pathfinder so he may drop this one to focus solely on that since he's new too).
A 2H brute Barbarian/Fighter. He fails Will saves a lot. It's funny.
A Cleric/Alchemist (My GMPC because I knew these guys'd be f%+$ed without a Cleric and nobody deigned to make one. He chucks Bombs and heals people. Also opens locks on occasion)
And a Summoner/Bard who is the most experienced of the group (he GMs the Serpent's Skull game).
Our two missing players are an Armored Hulk/Fighter (the one who won't return messages) and a Druid/Fighter (who had to bow out for the foreseeable future a while back but I'm keeping an in for his character so she can come back some time).
Maybe you can kickstart them into playing to their roles a bit more, everyone seems to be reluctant to do so and I have to nudge 'em to have conversations with NPCs and such.
As a note, I'm pretty new to the whole GMing thing, so I make a decent number of mistakes when it comes to the rules sometimes. If you catch one, notify me PLEASE because I don't really run all that many houserules (the only one I remember off the top of my head is I don't track encumbrance beyond "Don't let it get ridiculous).

Hmmm. I never did do a gestalt. Let me think on that a bit...
Is it 100% Pathfinder, otherwise? Point buy?

2 traits, rolled stats. You get one re-roll if you don't like it and I'll re-roll 'em or just bump them up a bit if they're really bad since everyone else rolled well.
Any races, any classes allowed except the really odd ones under "Other races" that have like 40+ RP.
I will say the a couple of the other players don't like guns much though. But if you REALLY want to play a Gunslinger I had plans a while back when another player wanted to try it (he changed his mind) where the guns'd be around Emerging and every now and the enemies would have guns where it would make sense.

Ok...and the question that must be asked, seeing as the first class that popped into my head was...
...how do you treat Paladins?
Do they have to atone for appreciating a pretty girl? Can they work with evil, when they need to? Then...the all important question: What about goblin babies?

I'm pretty lenient on Paladins. I'll follow the Code on stuff it specifically says is fall-worthy (Lying, stealing, cheating, using poison, etc.) but I don't stretch it like some people to do to where Stealth, using traps, etc. makes you Fall.
And if you do something a bit off generally there'll be a warning first. Unless you do something REALLY off the wall (murder a random peasant, that kind of thing). As well, I'm not fond of the "Detect Evil, Smite!" way of "diplomacy".
You can work with evil towards a common goal. I don't think there are any actual evil characters in THIS party though. The Barbarian has Chaotic Evil on his sheet but he's just...not. He's Chaotic Neutral at worst. Though he doesn't generally speak up. He's the only one without a microphone.
We're a pretty laid back group overall. We're just there to have fun mostly.
If you decide you want to play we play on Saturdays or Sundays depending starting at noon (EST) and going to around 5/6/7 depending on what everyone's schedule is like. I'll send you the Roll20 link when you decide.
The next one SHOULD be the week after next. We've been on hiatus because Rey (the Bard/Summoner) went on vacation for a month and nobody wanted to play without him (and he ran the Serpent's Skull game).

My present thought, if I can and decide to do it: Pal/Clr...or Pal/Ora. I'd have to think about gods...there is the obvious 2 or 3...
What level?

Eldon, check out the thread as well. Im happy enough for you to play whatever character you want to be honest. if you're still not up for it then that's fine too.
As fun as theory craft and arguing relative merits of characters can be, for me the game is more about playing and how the story unfolds as a consequence of actions rather than stats and numbers.
Cheers

Absolutely agreed. I end up arguing a lot of points from actual gameplay perspective, while people pile on theory...if it doesn't pan out in the game, all it is is playing with data.
I'm a data sort of guy...to a degree...but I'm more into heroic fantasy. I'll check it out, and consider the possibility. Let me think for a moment about what class I'm interested in. :)
