Grand Lodge

Posting as Liara Truespell, Magaambyan Arcanish and recent Lady Knight Captain.

A garundi woman floated into a nearby seat.

"I heard stories of the siege, but sadly I was elsewhere at the time. Tending to things further south. I was sent into the city afterwards to access the Pathfinder Lodge that another the missing Venture Captain there had sealed." She frowned the memory. "Add that to the list of 'concerns' I have found this year. Apathy among the politicians of my homeland, hints of corruption within the society in addition to new traitors within and without." She shook her head.

"I fear for this season. So much rot has been found." She sighed as she recalled her recent trip to Chelliax's possessions. "It is hard to remember that we each draw a line where we must fight, flee or relent against the darkness within and without. Old Man Jaembe taught us that. I just wish.. to hear something bright and uplifting and nothing of darkness and betrayal."

Liberty's Edge

"The darkness engulfs us. From the North, from Within, even from Andoran." He shivers. "And you can't just whack all of it away with a stick."

Liberty's Edge

A tall athleticly built man in a well worn Andoran army uniform silently walks in. He gives the crowd the once over. "Not used to drinking in such high end company." he says. Pouring rum into his mug of black tea he turns and says" Did a turn Wardstone patroling myself awhile back. Saw a good man die redeeming himself.Took many a demon with him." He raises his mug in salute."Here's to you Sir Ilian. You were one of the good ones!"

Liberty's Edge

NEsod raises his own mug. "Wish I'd gotten to know him. Wish I had."

Liberty's Edge

"I was proud to know him. Not to many people I can say that about."

Liberty's Edge

~Knight-Captain Liran Ver'Ha~

The tall elf in dragon scales chuckles and takes a drink.

"It always amused me of the short lived races propensity for morbid discussion. Dark times wax and dark times wane, just as the moon waxes and wanes, just as night sets and dawn breaks. It is simply the natural order of things."

The elf places the mug on the table and stretches his arms out before continuing.

"Enjoy the life you have, fight hard, love harder, and stand up to the injustices you find. It just so happens there are a great many demons now impeding that enjoyment."

Liran grins, "So I have been fighting hard, and enjoying the destruction of demonkind. Such is this the current chapter in my life's saga."

Liberty's Edge

"Point taken, Sir. We need to take more joy out of our adventures. We've done some great things. We need to remember that."

Liberty's Edge

"Correction: YOU'VE done great things. I'm a wetworks man. I try simply to be remembered as a tall man in a cultist mask."

Liberty's Edge

"Never forget the man who does the real dirty work. You have my respect."

Liberty's Edge

"I'd rather you did forget: I'm not exactly an upstanding member of society back home." He shrugs. "But thanks anyway."

Liberty's Edge

"The real work is done in the trenches.Don't let the high and mighty types tell you any diffrent."

Liberty's Edge

"I ain't exactly a trench fighter, but I get what you're trying to say. And I'm here for the same reason you are: if that end is accomplished, I'll gladly retire unknown."

Liberty's Edge

"Then here's to getting the job done!"

Liberty's Edge

"I'll drink to that!"

Liberty's Edge

A short man of average build enters the room, the dust of the road upon him and the smell of horses following in his wake. "By Cayden's ballsack it is getting chilly out there!" Lifting his visor, he reveals his open interest in the various beverages being offered around the room, his weathered face breaking in a wide smile. "Oh my! times must be bad! MacQuillion himself!"

Liberty's Edge

A sailor leaning against the wall scoffs and mutters, "Awfully proud and boastful for one who wishes to remain unnoticed..." before taking a deep draught from his tankard.

Liberty's Edge

"MacQuillion! ha ha ha! By the shoelaces of Gorum! I've heard about your Caydenbrew! can I try? how much Sir?" continues Chaine, fishing for a handful of coins at his belt purse.

Liberty's Edge

"I din't know you were a brewmaster, Torrin." Nesod drinks the ale in his own hands, then freezes for a moment. "But I do now! I've been on the open road most of my adult life, and this ranks in my ten favorite brews, probably at number four, in the Inner Sea."

Liberty's Edge

"More a brew seller than a brewmaster. We all worship the Drunken Hero in our own way. And for an occasion such as this it's on me!

Liberty's Edge

"WELL DONE MACQUILLION! WELL DONE! THREE CHEERS FOR TORRIN THE BREWSELLER!" Chaine raises his mug and starts chugging.

Liberty's Edge

From the doorway is heard. "Great, another bouncer who thinks a halfling is a child. I'm a Captain I'll have you know! Move out of my way before Vespa here moves you forcefully." A young looking Halfling, with bright yellow skin and wearing a yellow and black Steel Lamellar, argues with the doorman in a slight Tien accent. Next to him is a Giant Wasp with a saddle strapped to it's back. "Ah, good man." Looking inside and taking off his tricorne, he sees his fellow Andorans. "Good evening my fellow comrades. Looks like we're in time for the party, then?" He deftly leaps atop the wasp as they enter the room so that he might have a chance at getting to the bar. "Don't mind Vespa here. She'll not harm ye unless told to, Haha! There any good mead or sake here?"
