I noticed that the first poster mis-assigned the CEO's gender. :)

Sovereign Court

Yep, noticed that too ... I really liked the "Ugh! I hate when important news like this drops on 4/1. It takes weeks for everyone to believe it. " comment as well. :)

Hey, lots of guys are named Lisa...right?

seems legit.

Does this mean we got sold as part of the package, under the item "Talkative Network Components"?

You know, you go away on vacation and come back to this! At least Erik and Jeff held out for the life-sized Millenium Falcon. Oh, and the $117 million was pretty cool too. Though, I guess technically I am now unemployed, as the article says that I stepped down. Hmmm. I wonder how long it will take them to notice that I never left. :)

The deal is bantha poodoo without the Wookie co-pilot. I don't *think* Vic qualifies as a Wookie...

That sort of redefines the term "Hostile Takeover".

I'd go for an early retirement. You've got millions to spend and a Millennium Falcon to pilot!

Cosmo strikes me as more of a Nien Nunb. Not a Wookie, but certainly a competent copilot.

Barbie is owned by Mattel, so no Barbie Seoni. But perhaps we can get a GI Joe Valeros!

Shh, it's alright, it's alright.

I heard that, if we're nice, Paizo will send us packaged in bubble wrap!

I have seen : PAIZO acquired by Disney.

With wild claims about a multicrossover adventure path, with Galactus coming to Golarion to devour the planet (and Rovagug) and the PCs have to chase the route that Rovagug used to reach Golarion on a Numerian starship, going so far as Coruscant and the Shiar Empire. The BBEG was a dark chrome Darh Vader made herald of Galactus.
I only missed Duckburg. Scrooge McDuck surelly have a lot of gps (who is richer ? him or Karzoug ?).

I'm sad to see Paizo being sold up the river because the owners just had to sate their need for Star Trek merchandise. ;_;

I think someone pulled a Sith Mind Meld.

So... Paizo isn't acquired? That would have been smart for Hasbro. Can I have the Falcon when you're done with it?

Hey, that's no way to be. Just remember the best line from the movies.

Ooo, the old starfury or the improved model that can enter a planet's atmosphere?

And I hope Jeff has some extra caps ... those PPGs burn through 'em. ;)

My house sounded something like this:

"What!?! No, frickin' way! What were you think-- wait, life sized Millenium Falcon? Ohhhh, stupid April Fool's Day. Though Lisa might sell the place for a life-sized Millenium Falcon."

Well, Jason is super excited about designing that game, now that we have access to the My Little Pony IP. He secretly has collected every pony ever released, so once Ponyfinder comes out, he will be able to proudly display them in his office. So this has been a very good day for Jason.

As one of the perpetrators of the original story on RPG Geek (I can't take credit for the idea, though I was responsible for the Millennium Falcon), I am glad to see people enjoying it - and am very grateful to Paizo, and Lisa Stevens, for taking it with such good grace. What we thought would be an amusing story for our regulars turned into much more when Paizo themselves shared the link, and it was great hearing about others enjoying - or being briefly frightened by - the joke.

In all seriousness, we at RPG Geek are big fans of Paizo - our forums have hosted over 50 play-by-forum Society games, as well as many other campaign games (including two year+ campaigns run by myself). So we are very pleased to have injected a bit of humor into the days of Pathfinder community and especially any staffers at Paizo who got a kick out of it!

Thanks Paizo!

PS Also, if anyone is worried, we've added two notes to the story about the posting date to ensure that anyone who stumbles upon it at a later date won't fall for it.

You know, my girlfriend showed me this when i got home from work yesterday, and for a split second I believed it. The crazy thing is, the life sized millenium falcon is what made it a little believable...

And thus, it is written, with the monumental funding that was needed, the near endless child laborer gathered, with his vision and will channeled to the great task, Grand Moff Vic Wertz begun his life long dream of constructing a life-sized and fully operational Death Star III, bringing a New Order to the world, and the rest of the Over Sector.

The Paizo employees couldn't stop talking to me yesterday about the life-sized Millenium Falcon. They kept asking when I would start giving tours. :)

When I read the article, my first thought was, hmmmm, $117 million, that would be a nice retirement egg. Then I saw the life-sized Falcon and all of a sudden, I was excited! What does that say about me when a life-sized Falcon trumps $117 million? :) I could have built a dozen life-sized Falcons with $117 million!

Now, of course, if anybody wants to buy Paizo, they are going to have to have a life-sized Falcon in tow, or it is a non-starter. :)

Don't forget the Wookie suit for Vic! :P

I could consider switching publisher for a life-size model of the Executor....but on a second thought, i'ld prefer the real one, complete with crew and turbo lasers, ion cannons, proton torpedoes and the like.
