Good Starter Adventures

Advice

Silver Crusade

I would like to do a first-level introductory game for some people but I don't want to use the beginner box. Is it okay if I use PFS scenarios or are there other 4-hour adventures that I am not aware of available for PF?

Silver Crusade

2 people marked this as a favorite.

The First Steps series is a good starter and if you want to run something a little longer then I would recommend Crypt of the Everflame.

Silver Crusade

Excellent. Thank you!

+1 crypt of the everflame.

Good (but easy) scenarios to run are:
- Silent Tide
- Mists of Mwangi
- Citadel of Flame

Ironically First Steps can lead to TPKs and deaths, but it's free and not bad (and free).

Another good starter is "We Be Goblins" and "Master of the Fallen Fortress".

Dark Archive

I'd agree about Mists of Mwangi... and since it is the first of a series of scenarios that take place at/around the Blakros Museum, you'll have further adventures you can run.

I really liked playing "We Be Goblins", but I don;t think it is a great introductory scenario... perhaps too specific (playing those evil little bastages... the goblins).

Fun though. :D

Silver Crusade

I really like Master of the Fallen Fortress as a starter as it's pretty cut and dry, but the final boss fights has a fun environment mechanic that isn't too hard to deal with, even for a new GM. And in case your players are dragging it out you can easily cut a few rooms (or floors) out for time without hampering the story.
