Summon Monster One in PFS dog or riding dog?

I can't find errata on this one. Do PFS characters get dogs or riding dogs when casting this spell? I've seen both listed in books at our table.

It is a Dog now, whether in PFS or not. It was errata'ed. I'm looking in the 1st-5th edition errata document, so I don't know exactly which printing it was fixed in.

the 1st Level list, change “Riding dog” to “dog” and
move to the correct alphabetical location.
On the 3rd
Level list, change “Giant lizard” to “Monitor Lizard”
and move to the correct alphabetical location. Move
the “Giant scorpion” entry from the 6th Level list to
the 4th Level list.

While you're correct David that summon monster I now summons a dog instead of a riding dog, you've quoted summon nature's ally.

I believe summon monster's entry was changed in the fifth printing. Summon nature's ally was changed much earlier than that.

I don't think the errata lists summon monster 1 as changed to dog, but the prd, and the downloadable PDF does list it as dog nowadays

The latest download documents have changed riding dog to dog, sadly, but the errata for the PHB hasn't (I checked the 1st to 5th, and 4th to 5th). At least not as far as I can see.

This was from the 1st to 5th printing CRB errata document:

Page 353—In Table 10–2: Summon Nature’s Ally, on
the 1st Level list, change “Riding dog” to “dog” and
move to the correct alphabetical location. On the 3rd
Level list, change “Giant lizard” to “Monitor Lizard”
and move to the correct alphabetical location. Move
the “Giant scorpion” entry from the 6th Level list to
the 4th Level list.

I did not see the same change in the errata from the 4th to 5th printing.

So apparently the errata doesn't show it but the new CRB does? No wonder people are confused.

Summon Nature's Ally is in the 1st to 5th errata, but not the 4th to 5th errata because (I assume) it was already updated by the 4th printing. Somewhere in there it should probably also say "and do the same for Summon Monster". It doesn't though, and the lists aren't identical, so a lot of people go with the errata as written and keep using riding dogs (myself included a short while ago).
