Not sure if this is the proper place for this question, but ...
While reading the ROTR anniversary edition I really enjoyed the new(to me at least) use of the colors and numbers indicating if the stairs went up or down, and where they connected on other levels. Now I am seeing the same thing in the PFO Thornkeep book.
SO, my question is, why is this not being utilized in the AP adventures? It seems to me at least to be really useful and I for one would like to see it used across the spectrum of Paizo products.

It's not being used in all our modules and adventures yet because we've not yet had the time to add that feature in—maps are generally among the last things we finalize for an adventure, and with the AP's really tight monthly schedule that has been mandated by management can never fall significantly behind again, adding additional steps to the maps (ha, pun!) isn't something we have the luxury to start yet. Furthermore, it's something that we don't want to start halfway through an Adventure Path, so if we miss it for one AP, we miss it for all six parts.
I'll see if we can start doing this for Wrath of the Righteous, but that one's on an INCREDIBLY tight development window due to compression of schedules from the Pathfinder Adventure Card Game, and as such I'm wary of adding more work to the art team... even if it's relatively easy looking, orchestrating the stair arrows and numbers is actually relatively time consuming.
