Throw anything + cards?

Rules Questions

so would you treat playing cards thrown with throw anything as shuriken? now i know most people would say this is a bad idea and that there are better things to throw but i like the idea of throwing cards and i myself have gotten playing cards to stick in drywall.

Trying to make Gambit?

Grand Lodge

You want this feat.

not really no exploding cards thats the last thing on my mind for the character idea i have.

I like the idea. I however am making a "Gambit" build and often wondered how to go about making "exploding cards".

magus would be the best route then arcane duelist bard or ninja. deadly dealer is nice but you need to be level 5 to take it which wont help me out at starting levels

Grand Lodge

Rough and Ready trait, and Breaker Barbarian help make it work.

rough and ready would be a fun trait. but would a card being used with throw anything be treated as a shuriken? i would love to use deadly dealer but i hate how you have to be level 5 to use it.

If you're willing to use 3rd party content (am I allowed to talk about 3rd party content in this forum?), the clever godling class has a 'Scion of the Hearth' talent that would allow you to treat a mundane object as a weapon. Using playing cards as shuriken is one of the options specifically mentioned in that Scion Talent.

Ok, first of all...I have been a carpenter on and off for the last 20 years+ and have extensive dealings with drywall. Second...I trained for 11 years in various martial arts including Wing Chun, Wu Shu, Tang Soo Do, Tae Kwan Do, american boxing and kickboxing. I have trained in weapons of a huge variety of sizes and shapes and am a huge fan of Kung Fu movies.

You have never gotten a standard playing card to stick into drywall. If you can do so, video it and put it on YouTube and post a link.

That said I have no problem with a fantasy character doing so, like in a PRETEND/stylized martial arts movie.

Grand Lodge

That is why the magically empowered cards work.

the one band of of card that stuck in the wall was a bicycle prestige card. i mite hace to look into that 3rd party class i have the book. so i take it that with throw anything thats how it would be treated
