I'm back.
Many nature-related adventures were had but it's nice to be back in the comforts of home.

Skaar |

Actually the first thing I did was give my poor dog some attention.

Arista |

Didn't even fall asleep until almost 1pm today, so now...after getting a shower I don't have hardly any time for anything. Don't matter though, I'm not even hungry. I'm gonna stop saying that I'll be up in the afternoon, cuz every time I say that, something happens and I end up sleeping all day. DAmn it.

When we went camping one time, we left our spoiled princess dog with my parents and as soon as we left out of the driveway she apparently started to literally scream. That's how my mom described it when I called her to check up on her. My aunt called them and heard Ella in the background and brought a dog crate. We had left some dirty clothes upstairs so my mom got them and put them in the carrier....that poor baby stayed in there the entire time we were gone and wouldn't come out. Dad was barely able to get her to go outside to go to the bathroom, and she refused to eat at all while we were gone.
Don't know how we are gonna manage to take care of her while going out of town for a few weeks. I'm scared she'll get sick while we're gone, but I don't think we can take her on that long of a trip with us. I just don't know what to do.

Arista |

We've taken small trips where we have left her at home. We have a friend to come and play with her and feed her, take her outside, ect. She still won't eat though. Our friend is lucky if he can get her to drink chicken broth. I usually make some diluted chicken noodle soup for her and have it in the fridge where all he has to do is heat some up in her bowl. Usually if she won't eat her food, she'll at least drink that.
I don't know....she's just super needy.

Arista |

Ella is 11 years old and very....set in her ways. She does not like being separated from us, and gives us dirty looks just for going to work. She's a chiweenie, and I'm just scared that if we go off and leave her for 2 or three weeks, that I'll come back to a sick or worse, dog. It's the main thing about this plan that worries me.
On another note: Word of warning, they are sending me back to the same damn floor that I was on last night. Depending on what nurses are there, I may not be a very happy person when I get home. I just hope I can go to sleep when I get home and not feel like killing anything horribly.

Lol good luck grabbing Athena. She's part English Foxhound, part Irish Setter, big time hunting instinct but very protective.
On a related not, I actually had to punch a Rottweiller in the face a couple days ago to protect her. Taking her for a walk, someone left their gate wide open and the beast charged out to attack her. Without thinking about it I jumped in between them and after it tried to get around me twice, it went right for me instead.

That happened to my dog once many years ago. Max. A mix of Springer and Cocker Spaniel. The rot came at us and Max kicked his ass.

Sādhanā Risbane |

Pretty much. To dogs being vicious. Never punched a shark. It just stunned it, I used my left hand since my right hand had my dog's leash.
While it backed off, I yelled for the owner to come get their dog and he ran out to drag it back by the collar, apologizing.

My mother tells me I was bit badly by a German shepherd when I was like 2, but I don't remember it. I've been around dogs all my life, and I am very comfortable with them. If they develop an attachment complex, it can be bothersome to those watching them other than the owners though; my mother is a big offender of this as her basset hound just howls all day when she's not there.

Skaar |

My ears are burning.
And with that, I'm headed to bed. Good night guys.

Arista |

Okay....I'm like totally lost now.....I'm so oblivious I have no idea what any of you are talking about accept my princess puppy. I was taking care of this lady's disabled son and her kids lived next door with their son. Someone gave the rotten brat sweet little Ella when she was 1. too young, like 6 weeks. 2. The child shouldn't be allowed to own any living thing with the way I saw him treating Ella.
There was this mama cat and she let Ella nurse with her Kittens....weird...but the people were cruel to her. The little boy would tie rope around her neck and drag her through the yard. The parents would beat her because she was teething and they didn't know what to do about her chewing. I had enough and went over there and told them that either they could give me the dog for 20 bucks, or I could report them animal abuse and have them investigated by our local animal rights people and possibly DHS since they lived in a pig sty.
Long story short, I brought home a puppy that could fit in my pocket. When I first got her...she wasn't much bigger than a 100 cigarette. Now she's about 16 pounds of spoiled rotten princess. LOL

Arista |

Gonna really try to go to sleep now. I've been on the same damn floor for 3 damn nights and if they try to tell me to go there again tonight I'm gonna tell them to go to hell. Have a good day and I'll see ya'll later.

Skaar |

Enjoy your day!

Skaar |

Yeah it was a lot of fun.
Unfortunately, we all have to return to grownuphood at some point and the amenities of civilized life are hard to pass up.

Arista |

Yeah.....grownuphood really sucks sometimes though. I'm getting pretty sick of it actually. I still have to be patient though since there are things we have to take of....but I will have my fun at some point here in a few months. Well, once we get done kicking Matts ass into gear that is. Henry will go and talk to him first, brother to brother before I have a chance to get ahold of him. But, that's okay.

Skaar |

I might have missed something. What's wrong with Matt?

Arista |

He's just...Matt. It's been about 2 months now since his mom died and he's a mess. He's about 6'2" and about 124 lbs now. He's not really eating or sleeping...or doing much at all for that matter. He's just trying to keep from going insane and dealing with all of his moms stuff. He's the only living heir, so it falls on him alone. Henry is like a brother to him, but not blood related. Matt has NO other living family....so, this has been really hard on him. What we are most afraid of is him spiraling out of control and just self destructing. It's alot of stuff and we are just trying to help him get through the best we can being about 3000 miles away from him doesn't help...at all.
I don't know....it's one of the many reasons that we've been so stressed lately, but we can't really do much about the situation until we get out there and actually see what's going on.

Skaar |

Is Matt the friend in So Cal?
