Can you make poisons in PFS? (I think the answer is no, but that makes a bunch of poison abilities for several classes/races pretty useless.)
I can spend 2 prestige points to buy anything upto 750 gps value. If something is over that value, say 850 gps, can spend 2 prestige points and 100 gps to get it? (Again, I think the answer is no, but I thought I'd check.)
Is there a limit to the strength rating of composite bows? Can I for example buy a masterwork composite long bow with a +6 strength rating? I don't see anything prohibiting it, but I've never seen one with higher than a +3 rating.

Keep in mind, the FAQ that Mike just pointed out indicates you can "buy" poisons. There is no crafting in PFS, so you cannot "make" them.
In regards to the second question, no you may not combine prestige and gold in a purchase.
In regards to the bow, that's a Pathfinder Roleplaying Game question and belongs in the rules forums. ;-)

You cannot craft in PFS. You can purchase poisons, but there is a very limited list you can buy. I'm not having luck finding it right now... Maybe someone else will post it.

Nope. You get *one* item *up to* 750gp. You can't spend multiple prestige to get a more expensive item, and you can't spend the difference in gold.

Just spend 100gp for every +1 STR and you're good. (some scenarios even give out +5 ratings as treasure)

Alchemists and rogues with the poisoner archetype and the Master Poisoner ability can use Craft (alchemy) to produce poisons (see "How can alchemists craft in Pathfinder Society Organized Play?").
:-P

As you enter the anti magic sphere. Good luck with that potion.

Thanks guys. That's what I thought, but wanted make sure.
If the master poisoner alchemist is making the always avialable poisons does the the DC still go up?

Oops! My appologies the question came up while thinking about PFS characters.

Actually that isn't true.
If you have the Master Poisoner feat, and are a poisoner Rogue or Alchemist, you can craft the always available poisons just like an alchemist can craft alchemical items.
If you want to be all technical...as a generality, crafting is not permitted. So change my statement to read:
"Crafting is not permitted in PFS*."
*Special exceptions are permitted for wizards (bonded items), gunslingers (ammunition), alchemists (alchemical items/poisons), and poisoner rogues (poisons).

Wasn't his first sentence about poisons and not general crafting?

Like a well prepared Mike Brock...that's why he keeps people like you around. So that he can focus on the important stuff. What he said was simply the verbal components to a "Summon (Obscure) Rules Lawyer".
I did a real quick look, I might have missed a few myself.
Dragnmoon |
I can't find Cytillesh Extract, Frostspore, or Heathensnuff on the SRD =(
Because the are not in the SRD, Only things in the SRD are from the Pathfinder Rules books, not the Pathfinder Setting books, which all those are..
Cytillesh Extract - Pathfinder Adventure Path #61: "Shards of Sin"
Frostspore - Pathfinder Adventure Path #61: "Shards of Sin"
Heathensnuff - Pathfinder Campaign Setting: Cities of Golarion
You were able to find the following in the SRD?
Cockatrice Spit - Pathfinder Campaign Setting - Rival Guide
Fiddleback Venom - Pathfinder Campaign Setting - Rival Guide
Hag Spit - Pathfinder Campaign Setting - Rival Guide
Rainbow Jellyfish Toxin - Pathfinder Campaign Setting - Rival Guide
Woundweal - Pathfinder Player Companion: Adventurer's Armory
Edit: Nevermind, I was confusing the PRD with the SRD...

Either because they were not listed as open content for some odd reason, or http://www.d20pfsrd.com/ had to rename them... Or they just missed them.

Sorry to bring this up again, but I had a few additional questions.
1) Can a Poisoner Rogue craft poisons not on the Always Available to purchase list?
2) Can a Poisoner Rogue craft poisons with a higher save DC by increasing the Craft DC or other methods?
3) How many Craft checks/attempts can a Poisoner make each session?
4) Do those Craft checks/attempts count in lieu of or in addition to Day Job rolls?

1. Other poisons are found and unlocked in chronicle sheets. I don't think this allows them to be crafted (no craft DCs given iirc). Would happily be wrong here.
2. No3. Assuming this works like alchemical items, unlimited in between scenarios and during scenarios using the CRB rules for crafting times. You'd be limited by crafting times, not number of checks.
4. Craft checks have nothing to do with Day Job rolls.

Questions 1 - 4) You don't Craft Posions, you purchase them.
1) You can only Purchase posions on the Always Available list, or through anohter source (Chronicle sheets, Additonal Resource)
2) see first point
3) See first point
4) See first Point

DOH!!!! That is what i get from not readin the last line of the FAQ!
I just saw the first line..
"Any character with the Poison Use class ability can purchase and use poisons. For now, they are the only classes that have a list of “always available poisons” (those noted below)—no other class may purchase poisons unless they appear on a chronicle sheet. Alchemists, ninja, and poisoner rogues may only purchase the following poisons from the Pathfinder RPG Core Rulebook:"
All i saw was purchase, the last line mentions about crafting... so DOH!!!!

1) So far as I've seen, the craft DC for a poison is equal to the save DC. But don't take my word on it.
2) Drat. Ah well, was worth asking.3) And limited by resources cost, I'd reckon, haha.
4) Grand!
Thanks for the quick answer, and clarification about crafting Poisons. Was going to put in my first post "Remember, Poisoner Rogues are one of the few who CAN craft poisons" but opted not to.
