Silver Crusade

I wanted to do a tattooed sorceress that has a draconic bloodline that specializes in Metamagic instead of item creation. Kind of like testing the idea of a new PrC.

Aristopira

Background: Aristopira's name means "Excellent Fire" and is the first of her family to display her red dragon bloodline in three generations. 10 generations ago, her 10th great grandfather made a bargain with a dragon for power. The details of that bargain is largely forgotten, but strange rumors abound where he had to give up his young wife to the dragon for breeding. Others say that the grandfather was an eromenos to the dragon. Whatever the truth, Aristopira is viewed with awe, wonder, envy, or hatred.

Not "Wants to burn nobles at the stake"? I'm disappointed.

I like the idea of a metamagic based sorcerer. I just have a couple things that I would do differently if I were making a similar character.

How married are you to the draconic bloodline? In my opinion, if you want to focus on metamagic, there isn't anywhere to go but Arcane.

Second, you take a couple metamagic feats that I never take. Extend Spell and Bouncing Spell in particular are better from rods, IMHO, if you need them at all. I have yet to find a situation in which I would want to use Echoing spell at all.

On the other hand, I hardly ever flesh out a sorcerer build without making room for some feats like Dazing Spell and Persistent Spell. You'd really benefit from Spell Perfection at level 15 for your favorite spell.

Silver Crusade

True.

I picked it for thematic purposes. I didn't want to pepper my sorceress' skin with tribal tattoos. So I picked Countess' Serena skin which fit the theme of a draconic tattooed sorceress a lot better. She already had dragon tattoos. :)

Finding the right tribal tattoo to represent every spell is going to be quite a hunt. ( http://www.tribal-tattoos.com ).

I thought about persistent spell, and i passed up Dazing Spell. But Daze combined with Dazing Spell would be an interesting combination, almost empowered, if you know what I mean. And spell perfection?

Spell Perfection. Pick your favorite spell and apply metamagic to it for free. It finds a place on most spellcasters I make, even if I have to pick up unnecessary metamagic feats just to qualify for it.

If you want to be a blast-y sorcerer, the Draconic bloodline with the tattooed sorcerer archetype is a good choice. I just like the Arcane bloodline too much. I still think Persistent Spell is better than Bouncing Spell in most cases, even though it costs one extra level.

Sorry. She's not in the habit of causing fires under nobles tied to stakes. Potato chip?

Silver Crusade

Aristopira revised.

Art note: I had a little problem with the tattoos, so I'm dumping the tattoo sorceress concept and going full base sorcerer.
