This came up in a game recently. Do people track/count and enforce coin weight? It seems to me that it varies. A lot of players don't even know that coins weigh 50 gp = 1 lb. The only people I have seen with coin weight are those using Herolab and wondering why they are not getting their full Dex mod with only 20 lbs of equipment. They don't notice that their 10,000 gp weighs in at 200 lbs. Do we have any official method of reducing / ignoring coin weight?

Go further than that. Convert the bulk of it to precious or semi-precious gemstones. Very light to carry around, and you can convert them at cost when you need to make a large purchase.
I don't worry about coin weight, because I can imagine any character who thinks about it to have already taken measures to reduce weight. The only time I might question someone is if they somehow gain a mechanical advantage from carrying around 10,000 gp worth of copper pieces.

I think it only becomes an issue during a quest. For example, the party finds a dragon's lair with hundreds of thousands of coins then they would have to see how much they can carry. Once they get back to civilization it can be assumed they convert some and bank some. But going from dungeon to town may be another adventure just getting the loot back home, especially if the dragon gets back and finds that it's been robbed.

pssst, check out the date.
The current guide tells you to handwave the stuff you find
Characters are assumed to have enough containers to
hold items found or, in the case of urban adventures,
access to markets to sell goods.
For your wealth going with you you just convert it to jewelry with no appreciable weight. As a trade good you don't lose money trading it back and forth.

necrothreader Kruz... this is a really old topic that was answered back with PF Core Rulebook publication on coin weight. At the time people were aware of various methods from 3.5 to handle the situation. I think only naïve GMs used to chuckle about the weight of dragon hoards. Today (circa 2019) there are more solutions in PF1 as more has been published.
