OK.....not going to lie, it all came down to me holding everyone up....I had to get my five narrowed down (which was harder than I thought it would be).
Several stood out to me from the pack....but I am going to refrain from giving hints, lol.
@Odraude - I do believe we are looking at doing this as an annual contest, so there will be more chances :)

Oh WOW ... I am sorry I missed this, but glad to hear it may be (will be) an annual "event".
But of course congratulations to the winners/finalists! Way to go! :)
I have an idea or two that I think will work out nicely for this.
Regards,
Dean

Congrats to my fellow finalists, and also all who entered. I think being willing to put your ideas out there for others to see counts as a win. I've gotten a lot from feedback discussions in various forums from other contests and patronage projects, so I encourage everyone to join in as Jonathan suggests. It truly helps you up your writing game.

Been sleeping away the day my friends, so I apologize for my tardiness, lol....let's open with Congratulations to the finalists.
For every one who submitted a pitch I also say congratulations. Submitting a thought for an adventure requires more than simply slapping an idea of a note. These submissions showed thought, creativity and a great deal of potential.
This will indeed be more chances to enter Pathmaster. Remember that just because we had to narrow this down to 5, there were still a lot of great pitches submitted. Some that made the decisions really hard to decide on the final 5.
And yes, I did have my personal pick for this whole thing, but I am going to refrain from saying who until this is all over, lol.

Ahhhhhhh GenCon......there are so many things Jonathan and I have been talking about we are planning, lol. Game sessions with friends, the classic group pictures (for as many of the RotD crew we can get together), sharing the final results of Pathmaster (would be awesome if we could meet you folks in person, shake some hands kiss some babies, you know).
Wait a minute, did I say game sessions???

Looking forward to seeing the reviews, Endzeitgeist.
Also, here's the first (I believe) interview of five with the Pathmaster authors.

Thanks for the review, Endzeitgeist. It's great to hear the positive words. Also, I'm glad you enjoyed the feather fall bit.
I definitely agree that downtime rule support would have complimented the adventure well. However, I was intentionally going Core only, as this was my first adventure and wanted to keep things as simple as possible. Well, as simple as I can with time travel. Also, by the end of it, I was strapped for word count, so I didn't really have the space to do it justice beyond a mention. I would have loved an extra thousand words to sneak it in. Maybe in a sequel?
Thanks again!
