Quick question if anyone knows. I I got the $175 crowdforger for my wife and I can we e shield buddies together or do I have to pick someone else?

You can, however if you do the second account will not be able to to the shield buddy with someone else. Remember that the bonus does not only apply to who you picked to be your buddy, but everyone with the mark.

You can't like A-B-C-A to do a round-robin, you can only link A-B. So if you have a 3 person group, you'll need a 4th account (or a 4th friend) for everyone to get the Shieldmate bonus.

Each PFO account on the buddy pledge can either offer or accept one buddy invitation. You could offer from one to the other, or you could reach out to two other PFO accounts.

While Buddy accounts could pair off and Guild accounts could form three pairs, it would be better to try to get each one paired with someone else, as that would make the Shieldmate Mark more widespread and give us all a greater chance of getting the synergy bonus when in parties with others.

your shield mate should be with a person you intend on playing with a lot. If that isn't your buddy account or guild member, then who ? Mine will go to my buddy account because I plan on playing with them the most and there by more time with a synergy bonus. Still haven't found a way to invite a shield mate yet, or is that after KS closes ?

Scarlette, you get the same bonus grouping with ANY character(s) who have the Shieldmate mark as you do grouping with the single person you invited or were invited by.

The invite process will take place after the kickstarter closes.

Right, the individual account you 'link' with doesn't matter in the end. Any 2 or more Shieldmate Marks in a party will cause those who have them to get the synergy bonus. Being insular and pairing off your Buddy and Guild accounts will mean fewer accounts have the mark, and therefore there would be less opportunity for synergy bonuses as time goes on.

If the members of a guild account linked to 6 other accounts outside of itself, then there would be 12 accounts with the mark, and any combination of characters from them could produce the synergy effect when in a party together. If everyone did this, the population of SM Marks would double.
