Super excited! And only a $2,000 goal! Does that mean that there will be a lot of extra content at higher funding levels, since the starter goal is relatively low? Also, how long will the kickstarter run? I've got quite a bit of friends who would help fund, but they do not get paid until near the end of March. Just curious so I can let them know.

We'll be running it for 30 days starting this Saturday.

We decided to pick a 2k goal because we want to make sure we get all of our expenditures recuperated. 2k gets all of our freelanced art budget, freelance editing budget (we want this to be polished), and it will also be funding our attendance at GAMA Trade show where we hope to unveil some of the system next month.

Up until now, everything has come out of the company's coffers so we want a solid recuperation.

That being said we DO have an awesome stretch goals in mind. The amount of stretch content we have in mind for this book could fill a 2nd book. (It it will!) We will be deciding based on what stretch goal is reach if we will be including the stretch goal content in the core rulebook or if we will be including it as a 2nd book.

We will not be doing physical rewards (due to logistical issues) but we've got some seriously cool in-universe rewards. A lot of them pertain to contributors being able to either contribute directly to the campaign setting or having them having the naming rights (within reason) to something within the universe. We've got several tiers that will rewards people with inclusion of artwork inspired by you/your character (again, within reason) that will become cannon for this universe!

The campaign setting book itself will be at a low tier as well. I believe it's only going like $10 for almost 300 pages of material (market prices put that at like 25-30). Not to mention, if you donate ever $1 we are going to be giving you the free 50 page alpha release of Necropunk. It's got a lot removed (like the social combat system, most of the classes and equipment) but you can get a very strong understanding from it.

Only $10 for the book?! Wow, that's a good ratio on cash for content. And do you know the $ level for the in-universe rewards? I love this concept. Also, any idea on the stretch goal materials (Adventure, extra sourcebook, ect.,)? I'm aware that the kickstarter page goes up on the 23rd, but I'm really curious about this, as I will be trying to get as many people on board for the stretch goal as possible.

I'm happy to answer questions :-)

$10 is indeed the PDF. It will cost more when it's actually sold.

The in-universe content really starts at (only) $50 with the world-builder level. It allows you to name a planet and include a short (1 paragraph) description of the planet/system (within reason).
There are a few between it but there is one at $125 that will let you define an exile shard (a sort of min-faction that represents a splinter group of humanity). I can't remember the level ($75 maybe?) but there is one where you get the naming rights to a new weapon/piece of necrotech.
By the time you are looking at the $1,000 rewards you can help write/define the direction of an entire adventure.
Beyond that we are willing to work with people on inclusion of a much larger scale contributions to the universe.
A lot of the large rewards also include artistic renditions and whatnot.

Will people at higher reward levels also have the benefits of all the lower level ones as well? Because that would be awesome! And what's the news on the 'sister project'? I'm still extremely interested in that as well. Thanks, as always, for the expedient and informative replies!

We are actually going to be talking about our sister project in a few of our planned updates but I can tell you that it is a game the 2nd half of our company is working on. Until now we've kept the two sides apart (aside from the game tools we have on our site) but with Necropunk we are joining the teams a bit more. I don't want to spoil the surprise but it is planned to be a game that is not a pen & paper roleplaying game. The subject matter will be the same and we will be setting it during the war between the Welshen, Jaguar (the predecessors of Clan Magdaline), & Sentinels prior to the current date. The set up will explore a lot of the root stressors between the Ewgee & the Welshen in the current small conflicts. It should also serve to shed a little light on the background for the magdaline clan.

Scott Gladstein (Legendary Levels, Tome of Ingenuity, Tome of the Bizarre, Heroes of the East, etc) will be the designer for the roleplaying game and he will be serving as the producer for the entire IP. The design work for the sister project will be Dayton Johnson who is a contributing author to the Necropunk Campaign Setting (a lot of the grafts are his work). Both parties are very well regarded and will be working closely to make a continuous story.

In almost all cases you will get all of the lower tier rewards. The exceptions are the higher tier ones. The things like "Name piece of necrotech" is replaced with a more involved role. There is also a low tier one, "GM" what will send you multiple links to the download when the book- so you effectively get 5 copies. That one is not given to higher tier ones.

Again, excellent updates. Absolutely slavering at this stage. Can't wait to see the kickstarter and now gathering loot for patronage...

The best thing you guys could to at this point would be to share the facebook event (Here) to everyone you know!

We really appreciate the support you guys have shown.

So as a final update before the Kickstarter launches tomorrow I wanted to share some of our inhouse artwork and the process it's taken to get to where it is.

I added a Google doc's folder with some of our in-house concept art for the Sentinel, Qu'em, and Magpie classes (Magpie is still in concept form). I also stashed a little boneskin concept artwork, a more refined version, and the logo for the game.

~This link~ will be public until tomorrow when the kickstarter launches. (After that I'll be returning it to private)

PS: We will be making a new thread tomorrow for the Kickstarter.

Darn googledocs on my smartphone!!! From what I could see, I *really* like the quality level of the artwork. Very nicely done and I wait with baited breath for the launch!

We've actually worked with the artist on several previous books. Check out his Deviantart when you get a second. The logo is by one of our in-house artists. The rest of the art you'll see in the video is from some of our collaborators.
I can't wait to show it off!

Yep, just checked the deviantart link you posted. Definitely dark'n'elegant. Thanks for the link...
Being an illustrator (and graphic design student) myself I get really hung up on the "look" of things and get really turned of by art I find unappealing. Thankfully this so far sounds (and from the visuals you've sneakpk'd so far) looks really cool.

Due to verification issue with Amazon, we are not launching the Necropunk Kickstarter today but next Saturday.

Aw, punk! ;(.........

Ok. Well, I guess that gives me more time to hunt for patronage loot...
(Shuffles and struggles out of bonegolem fanmecha cosplay suit and begins to scour household while child is sleeping) "Here piggy (bank) here piggy (bank), where are you? OSW has a shiny hammer wif yore name onnit!!! Necwopunk is coming and we don't wunt to miss the parteee! Here piggy (bank)...."

Hi guys! Just a heads up, we have all systems go for launch tomorrow. It's green across the board and we are all super excited to launch Necropunk with your support at noon Az time!

New thread coming soon!

Although you already had me at "lich-tech", "hairy 4 armed midget ghoul with a chainsaw hand" is also nice and heartcolding. Thank you ohso much.

Its been a while since I heard from Little Red Goblin Games about the next additions to Necropunk. I love the campaign setting and I am running a game of my own. I was just curious if Necropunk lives on or if it got put in the back logs (or died for that matter).

I would be very interested to hear from you guys. I am "bumping" this thread to show support for the game and would like to hear from fans about the game.

First I've heard of this seems cool.

Well, your in luck! We've since we made this topic we've sucesfully kickstarted the setting and released 4 support books for it (2 source books, a bestiary, and an APG)!
Check it out!

Thank you for responding so quickly. I'm sorry I wasn't totally clear about what I was trying to say but I already have the additions to the main Corebook to Necropunk.

I was wondering when you guys were going to expand on those other books, like when you guys hinted at Lichtech and the fact that the book hints at raising the "technology bar" so to speak.

Ahh! Yeah, that is like step 4. We did step 1: put out the core book, step 2 was all about the support books, and the next step are the mini-adventures. We've got them written but had a LOT of backlogged stuff (as you can probably see- we are doing twice our normal number of releases and they are all pushing past 100 pages rather than our previous 30). After the first set of mini-adventures we will be pushing the series two "season 2" which already has a lot of material built up for it.

"Beware The Way"

Awesome! I'll look forward to it.
