Mythic Synthetist

I have a small curiosity, since the Synth says that you use your creatures physical ability scores when fused (as opposed to gaining some kind of bonus to your own), how does that interact with the number of uses of mythic power a character would get per day (if either dex, str or con were to be used). I know a temporary modifier must be used for a certain period of time to count for abilities like this, but since this is a replacement what would happen?

Great question.

Totally a guess, but I would think that, much like using Synthesist Scores for the prerequisites for feats, when you aren't merged you can't use them. Or more specifically, there is a fraction of mythic power you lose use when not merged.

However I'm also curious how Synthesists benefit from mythic tiers over all; do the eidolon or the PC get the mythic bumps in ability score if they pick a physical stat? I would think not, but Synthesists are weird so it wouldn't suprise me if they did...

Summoners are already Mythic Tier.

Scarab Sages

Summoners in general are the big losers with mythic. The bonuses they are give eidolons are minimal.

On synthesists in particular:

I would say a boost to a physical stat would be wasted. The stat would be replaced as per normal rules. That being said, synthesists could already have extremely high physical stats.

If using a physical stat for mythic power, use the fused stat while fused. The change is not a bonus, it is a change to the base score. It simply means a substantial portion of your mythic power is invested in your eidolon.

Sovereign Court

You do not use the stat of your Eidolon, you use your own.

Why? Because the physical bonus of your Eidolon is not a permanent stat bonus, it's a temporary one, it lasts as long as your are fused with your eidolon. Like Bull strength gives you a temporary bonus to Str, if Str is your mythic ability, it does not give you bonus mythic points.

Wouldn't the standard "highest" current bonus rule of thumb apply? Whatever gives the most plusses of a single type?

Scarab Sages

Sythesist stats are not a bonus. There is no "plus" to a stat. The synthesist simply uses the eidolons stats as his base stats while fused.

Synthesist stats are treated in all other aspects of the game for determing what the synthesist can do, including feat selection. This has long since been clarified.

Unless your arguement is magic items altering stats don't count for mythic power ....

To go one step further, mythic can permanently remove any need for sleep from a sythesist. A tier 1 mythic sythesist can litterly sustain his fused form for forever.

one use of mythic power as a full-round action to refresh
yourself as if you had rested for 8 hours for the purposes
of regaining spells and healing heal hit point and ability
damage.
