Eidolon - Damage Aura / Quills

I was looking for something that would allow an Eidolon to deal damage to a creature attacking it with a natural weapon. The idea is a kitsune with a flame aura.

Easy. Cast fire shield on it. Fire shield is a 3rd level summoner spell, and the summoner has the Share Spells ability that allows him to cast spells with a range of "personal" on his eidolon, so you can cast fire shield on it and it will have a flame aura of destruction.

Only lasts for 7-20 rounds, but hey, so does most combat. If you truly want it to last all day, buy a ring of continuation from Ultimate Equipment, which extends the duration of a single spell with a range of personal to 24 hours.
