for people like me looking to use lots of maps!

You can also pledge as low as $1 for adding your own NPC to their guide to be published with the maps, and for a $100 pledge you can get 20 double-sided battlemaps in 18x24! There are lower pledges if you want less maps too, and if they reach stretch goals you get more maps for free.

This is nice, i plan to pledge.

It is excellent value. I hope he fixes up the overseas shipping issue (at the moment you cant pledge at the higher levels unless you're in the US). :(

#1 Fixed link.

#2 I signed up at $125. I want ALL the maps and I love the idea of being able to help design one of the buildings. The village and town buildings are a great buy because there aren't that many buildings, so you're pretty much calling the shots. The Goal is pretty high, so a good chance it won't actually happen, but I've seen some Kickstarts really take off. Hope this one does.

We are working on the shipping issue. Kickstarter added the shipping feature as we were in the approval phase and it was too late once we launched. Tried to fix what we could, hope to hear from Kickstarter tomorrow.

Cool, thanks. :)

So I bought an 8x8 urban space. Any suggestions on what I build there? What types of urban buildings have we not seen yet in other map products?

Thoughts: a tenement building w multiple units; a multi-room townhouse (something between a one-room dwelling and a mansion); a bank; an indoor market with multiple tightly-packed booths (like a bizarre or a sook); a fighting pit; a court house; a hospital; an outdoor urban park with a monument; a bathhouse; a slaughterhouse; a seriously overcrowded shanty neighborhood; a construction site or burned out building;

Other ideas?

Those are some awesome ideas, Mosaic!

I like the idea of the NPC submissions. I asked on Kickstart and the NPC books will be included at the $20 level. Cool stuff.

More random ideas-

What about focusing each city map on a different area of the city, themes like high class, middle class, and low class.

High class could be City Center with a plaza on the edge and municipal buildings like a city hall with offices and a council chamber, a court room maybe with a little jail, some bureaucratic offices, a bank, a high end shop or restaurant, etc.

Middle class could be like 3 townhouses in a row, similar but different, a small park, a grocery, a small temple, and a couple of workshops. Townhouses could look normal but one might hold a secret entrance to something else...

Low class could just be a tangle of tightly packed buildings, a gambling den, several seedy taverns, pawn shops, lots of alleys, a little ugly shrine, maybe even a thieves' guild tucked at the back of an alley. A burned out building.

On the KickStarter someone mentioned having one side of a map be above ground and the other side be the corresponding underground/sewers. I suggested maybe putting underground for Map A on the back of Map B, and the underground for Map B and the back of Map A because it's a pain to have to take all the minis of a map to flip it every time PCs go up or down.

Another idea would be to do some undergrounds, like for low class areas, but maybe to do a second-story map for other areas. Too many one-story buildings could get a little boring. Or at least do stairs up. Maybe someday you guys could do Map Cards like Paizo that add on to the upstairs of buildings in the original maps. Fun thing is you could have multiple upstairs (or downstairs) cards for each building so a particular building never has to be the same if you use the same map again in the future!

Any idea what you're going to do with it yet?

Just posted our 1st tier of Milestones, an additional 20 designs for our backers. That means if we unlock those milestones each of our $100 backers will receive 60 different map designs, the printed NPC guide, and custom map portfolio! Also, check out our recent update and suggest your building idea for our Hamlet map.

I'm thinking of making it the home of a retired adventurer who is hiding many relics from his journeys.

Cool. Now we just cross our fingers and hope this baby gets funded.

Could also make the terrain a little more interesting.

• A 20'-wide canal with sidewalks on the sides and footbridges, a la Venice, running through the city instead of a street.

• City on a slope - streets would be the same, but sidewalk would occasionally have steps and some cross streets would instead dead-end in a cul-de-sac 10' above or below the main street (great for leaping chases or entrances to underground areas). A crane or lifts for moving good up a steep hillside.

This deserves to be seen by more people!

I agree wholeheartedly. It is an awesome Kickstarter along the lines of Reaper and FGG.

EDIT: There are 10 days remaining to raise $24472.

Bump.

2nd bump. I am trying to keep this on the first page so people will see it.
