Angelic Wings question

Rules Questions

Grand Lodge

In the Advanced Race Guide, Aasimar have a racial feat, 'Angelic Wings', which lists level 10 as a requirement to take. That seems odd, given it is not a level you would get a feat at that could possibly buy it? (It's not a combat feat that I am aware of, and so have a feat @ 10 to take...)

Is this intended to be a level 9 requirement? Or are you able to 'hold' a feat slot for later, and so be able to pick it up with your level 9 feat when you hit 10? It just seems a bit non-intuitive a requirement for a feat to me. Thanks!

You can never hold feats. When you get to select a feat, you must do so then. You can't hold off on it until a later level.

There are a few odd cases (such as a 10th level rogue) in which you can get access to an unrestricted bonus feat at 10th level.

Most sources of unlimited flight (like Air-school Wizard) open up at tenth level. It seems like they just copied that level 10 floor without considering that almost nobody could actually get a generic bonus feat at that level.

Thought so on the not holding (but given the oddity here, thought I'd take the opportunity to double check that). I was curious, as I said... it seemed non-intuitive. (As it is, my own Aasimar is likely to need level 9 to get the prereq feat as level 7 is about to be spoken for, so it's not much of an issue for me, but if it was intended at 9 I would have pushed for it. :) )

It is a rather stupid decision. I was looking to do the whole Angelic Blood tree with my PFS Aasimar, but I would have the use of the wings for a grand total of 3 scenarios. (From level 11 to retirement at 12).
