My party and I were talking about styling a characters hair and the conversation ended up on this question, Can an unseen servant become stuck to sovereign glue?

Any thoughts?

Sovereign Glue

unseen servant

I wouldn't think so. It is a shapeless force, it doesn't trip traps, it just kind of floats there. It doesn't sink in to water it can't climb.

I think it might be a good delivery mechanism for sovereign glue.

I was going to say no because they can only be damaged By area attacks. Then I realized I have no idea? I still lean towards no, but there is nothing to back it up.

Scarab Sages

" It can trigger traps and such," right from the spell.

It can trigger traps and such, but it can exert only 20 pounds of force, which is not enough to activate certain pressure plates and other devices.
Can =/= does or will. The spell doesn't say it's weightless, the thing can't fly but can walk on water. I imagine if it exerted it's 20 pounds of force on the water, it would start to sink...
Since the question was can an unseen servant... I would say yes if it's exerting force. If it's not, I have no idea but would be ok with a house rule on either side.

No. The unseen servant has no surface to cover. Keep it simple.

invisible, mindless, shapeless force

covers 1 square foot of surface, bonding virtually any two substances

I think the "shapeless" backs up Jubal's thought. Also, the "force" means it's not a "substance".

So, no.

Unseen servant is about as snaggable a force as an ongoing telekinesis spell.
