I'm completely in agree with you on this topic. I think this could be a wonderful help to improve mastering skills and to give everyone interesting idea for his gaming sessions. Also it could be a wonderful reclame for the AP. Perhaps the problem could be that just one book could not be enough but you could split it...

All I can say right now is stay tuned! While I'm not sure we'd want to do a straight-up novelization of an adventure path, we might have something that's up your alley coming down the pipe here in not too long...
I don't know if I would want to see novelizations of the APs, as we have already had a professional writer put together that story, although stories with the same backdrop could be an interesting addition.
I could see a novel on the Giants or Temple of Elemental Evil, but it seems odd with the Keep of the Borderlands which as I remember is mainly a collection of "Go into a few rooms and kill monster group X", "Go into a few room and kill monster group Y". Tomb of Horrors would be interesting in the sense of you get to read "Do something, die". "Do another thing, die.", ...
I could see a White Plume Mountain story. I always liked that one.

I love this tease. I have to say that I love all that Paizo puts out, but the Pathfinder Tales are the most exciting, alongside Jim Zub's comic.

I too would love to see some practical way to showcase APs with novels. I think APs have very strong plots and could serve as excellent backdrops for novels.
I do however realise that novelising an AP is a long, difficult process and probably requires too much commitment.
This is exactly right. At this point in Paizo's career, I think a novel that tried to do an encounter-by-encounter walkthrough of an AP would be boring (a lot of things in an adventure are more fun to play than to read), extremely long, and detrimental to both lines, as folks who'd read the novels would have the campaign completely spoiled for them.
At the same time, though, a novel that uses the events of an AP as a background, or which parallels some of the events and themes, could be a really cool tie. Which is why you should wait around and see what we announce a few months from now. :)

Here's hoping for something cool. Last "tie-in" novels I read were Paul Kidd's. While I do like them and they are an enjoyable read, that's not as much because of story and character development as it is that the trilogy is one long inside joke for old-school gamers.

You are welcome! This is why I restarted my Tales Subscription, and why I subscribed to the Pathfinder comic. I would also be very interested in a novel that takes place with the events of an AP in the background.
Now I just need to pick up the 3 novels that I missed...

I asked James [Jacob] about it once and he didn't seem all to enthused about the idea, reading some of the comments in this thread though I'm glad that we might get to see a few novels based off adventure path's.
Personally I wouldn't mind seeing tie-ins to the following AP's.
Rise of the Runelords
Curse of the Crimson Throne
Carrion Crown
Jade Regent
Skull and Shackles
@ Joseph Blackhand: They are not exactly tie-ins per se, but many of the Pathfinder Tales can be given to players to give them a real sense of the part of Golarion that they will be playing in.
Before running Carrion Crown, I would recommend that players read Prince of Wolves.
For Jade Regent, read Master of Devils and Husks.
For Reign of Winter, read Winter Witch.
For Shattered Star, read Blood of the City.
For Wrath of the Rightous, read The Worldwound Gambit and Dave Gross' upcoming Title of Mystery.

Sort of. I have not heard of any plans to write novels based on AP's.
I think that the illustrious Mr. Sutter may have been hinting at this announcement that Paizo is working with a company called Big Finish to produce audio dramas based on the APs. The first one will be based upon Rise of the Runelords. I believe each disc will be about an hour long and will cover one book of the AP. There will be subscription options.
Also, the cogitative Mr. Sutter has mentioned elsewhere on the boards that they are changing up the way the AP fiction works so that it is more useful/ applicable to the AP that contains it.
