So, I am (Kind Of) almost level 6 lion shaman, and am considering what to do about armor. I am considering buying Large Rhino Hide for my Dire Tiger Form. I believe I'll likely be spending about 90% of my time in that form, and that Rhino Hide will carry me through retirement, as it is pretty pricey and so is the wild enhancement, plus the +2d6 to all damages is pretty neat.
By the way, here's what it does: This +2 hide armor is made from rhinoceros hide. In addition to granting a +2 enhancement bonus to AC, it has a –1 armor check penalty and deals an additional 2d6 points of damage on any successful charge attack made by the wearer, including a mounted charge.
As its for my animal form and is large it will cost double, so 10,330. The only real disadvantages I see are Squeezing and I have to get another party member to don my armor for me. I don't really see one of my party member not aiding me with that, so I believe that is a non-issue.
Squeezing, is slightly more of an issue, as it is likely to come up a few times. Now technically, I am large Long, not tall, so the way I understand it, a normal 5 foot passage won't be squeezing unless the ceiling is short, so it seems to be something that will be rather rare at least.
Basically, before I dump half my wealth on this armor, I want to see what flaws I may be missing to my logic, if any. All input is appreciated. Thanks.

Well, it is only the base armor that costs extra (x4, in the case of a large nonhumanoid), not the masterwork component, and not the magical enhancements... The price would be 5210 for a large nonhumanoid.

The biggest flaw is from what I am aware within Pathfinder Society you cannot do any alterations to "named" items, meaning rhino hide armor is only available for humaniods, and not as barding, and cannot be given the wild enchantment.

If this is for a wild shape form I do not think you need to get it for the size of your dire tiger form. So medium should be fine as your armor and items shift into any wild shape form you take.
In Wild Shape form, you lose the AC bonus from armor if it is not enchanted with the "Wild" armor enhancement. Link to the armor property: Wild Armor property

He already knows he needs the wild enchantment I was just correcting him on not needing to get large sized armor and that it does not need to be barded. What he needs to know now is how much it is going to cost to add a +3 enchantment.

I'm confused. If he is buying barding he does NOT need the Wild armor property. He just needs somebody to help him put the armour on and some way to carry it when he isn't wearing it.
If it has the wild armor property then he does NOT need to get it in non humanoid or large form.
Personally, my favourite druid armours are either Hide shirt OR Dragonhide breastplate. Best AC for the gold piece and requires no feat investment (most of my builds tend to be feat starved :-(). While the extra 2D6 for the charge is obviously nice it isn't all that great for a pouncing lion which is going to be doing LOTS of damage anyway with all its attacks.

Paul - I am very feat starved;)
Cool, I'm just gonna go with some standard barding.
I was thinking of not getting wild armor, cause its a huge investment of my resources for not a whole lot of pay off. As PFS caps at 12, thats roughly 10% of my networth.
I always wonder how people who claimed they're feat starved in Pathfinder ever managed D&D 3.X

Nope, you specifically can't get Rhino Hide barding. We asked. Linky
I don't think the link points to where you think it points. Is there a hidden ruling somewhere in the blurb for the new adventure path?
