:) Yeah, not all [Fire] spells are from the Fire school, but all Fire school spells are [Fire] spells. And sadly there has been no support for the Elemental schools in the other books. There are some great [Fire] spells that would be a perfect addition to the Fire school in UM and UC. I really wish they'd make an updated elemental school list sometime...

Forcing an elementalist or even allowing an elementalist to take Spell Focus over Elemental Focus breaks the flavor that the elementalist offers to the game.
Allowing the two feats to stack breaks the reasoning that your only allowed to take Elementalist or Spell Focus once for each type of spell.
I vote that Paizo clarify think issue as a Fire Elementalist is an excellent "exotic" PC in Pathfinder Society.

I'm not quite sure why you have a problem with them stacking, but its the weekend, and I highly doubt anyone official will get you an answer by your deadline.
Why do you say Spell Focus (Fire) breaks the flavor of an elementalist? I've currently got a gnome fire elementalist with both Spell Focus (Fire) and Elemental Focus (Fire) They give bonuses to different spells, and stack with several. They're different types of feats, one provides bonuses for a school, the other a subtype of spell which crosses school boundries.

I'm also confused why you don't like the fact that Spell Focus and Elemental Focus do stack for spells that fall under both selections. It is one of the few ways to stack DC bonuses that all "blaster" style casters envy.
All wizards in PFS get Scribe Scroll replaced with Spell Focus. There is little chance PFS will deviate from this for a specific specialization, unless there are changes made to the class in a future Pathfinder RPG rulebook. If Eric's suggestion of taking Spell Focus (Elemental Fire) is not something you want to pursue, then you can head over to the Rules forum and begin a discussion there.

I could be wrong with this, but i'm pretty sure all the fire spells are evocation, so just grab spell focus (evocation) then grab elemental focus (fire) to get a nice boost to fire based spells.
While most are evocation, there are also transmutation, conjuration, and abjuration (possibly more that I can think of right now).

This sounds like it may be correct. This also means that I may get to file a bug for PCGen since it doesn't support Fire as an option for Spell Focus.
I'm going to stack the two together as Fire, and I hope my GM forgives me if I'm wrong.

Just remember to be mindful of the limitation that Spell Focus(Elemental Fire) only covers the 50ish spells listed under either the All or Fire sub-categories under the Elemental Spell list on pages 194-196 of the APG.
Even if spells from other source material like UM or UC have the Fire subtype they won't legally qualify as being a part of the Elemental Fire school.

My Fire Elementalist has both Spell Focus (Evocation) and Greater Spell Focus (Evocation).
I did at the start think of going the Elemental focus route but decided against it due to several factors.
What would interest me more is an updating of the Elementalist spell list that exists now. Spells have been added that might be very useful (ie Burning Arc)

A completely different set of circumstances exist with earth.
Nearly all earth spells are conjuration, very few of them are acid.
I do wish they would update the list. It makes no sense that a spell with the fire descriptor is not an elemental fire spell.

Could I take Spell Focus (Evocation), Greater Spell Focus (Evocation), Elemental Focus (Fire), Greater Elemental Focus (Fire), Spell Focus (Fire), and Greater Spell Focus (Fire) for a total of +6 to the DC of my Fireball?
I'm not so sure the Elemental "Schools" are valid choices for Spell Focus*, but Spell Focus and Elemental Focus look like they should stack.

In that case, you could choose Spell Focus (fire) and Spell Focus (evocation), but that doesn't change that Spell Focus specifically says it won't stack with itself. So your options for stacking include:
• Elemental Focus (fire) and Spell Focus (evocation); or
• Elemental Focus (fire) and Spell Focus (fire)
So there you go.

Actually, here's the wording of Elemental Focus:
Your spells of a certain element are more difficult to resist.
Benefit: Choose one energy type (acid, cold, electricity, or fire). Add +1 to the Difficulty Class for all saving throws against spells that deal damage of the energy type you select.
Special: You can gain this feat multiple times. Its effects do not stack. Each time you take this feat, it applies to a new energy type.
Nowhere in that description does it limit it to spells on a list, but spells with an energy descriptor.

did you mean "or" spells with an energy descriptor instead of "but"?
Because the way I read it, its any spell that does that type of energy damage. The spell doesn't need the descriptor to do damage of that energy type (although it may be a moot point and all spells that do that type of energy damage do have the descriptor).
