We just leveled to 14, and have around 50k in built up cash to spend- each.
Assuming I have an appropriate headband already- what items would you think a witch ought to get?
I have a belt of con and while its not particularly high, its not been an issue to date.
Am wearing a ring of sustenenance and one of protection as well as a necklace of natural armor. Also using a mithril buckler.
I have lesser rods of extend and maximize, eyes of the eagle and a cloak of resi +3
Any good ideas on what to get? I'd thought about a staff but didn't really see any that matched well to the witch's spell list.
Thoughts, ideas, muchly appreciated.
Thanks.

I'd start by upgrading the cloak to +5. It's boring, but the importance of good saves cannot be overstated - especially at high levels, when failing a save can literally kill you.
Upgrading the con belt can't hurt either, though if you are rarely in a position to get hit by attacks it's not that big a deal.
It's a tad expensive, but one of the greatest lifesaver items is a Ring of Freedom of Movement. I like to get that on my casters eventually, but it might be better to wait until you have a bit more cash to spare.

Pearls of Power (a False Life a day keeps the Funeral Director away)
More Metamagic rods
Ioun stones
Specialized Magical Armor eg Mithril Celestial Breastplate (26200) and upgrade the mithril buckler to a celestial shield (13170) - no ASF no ACP + 6AC from Breastplate +1 Net AC from large Shield + 5 AC from armor enchantments, and overland flight 1/day...
ps Regarding Staves (and wands), you have UMD as a class skill. Pick these to expand your spell list, not work from it...

I have every nearly every single witch spell level 1-6, though buying some at 7+ isn't beyond the realm of possibility. (have heal and chain lightning, and haven't selected my 2 for 14th level yet, so will definately look into that)
The armor idea is interesting.. not sure its worth spending nearly all my money for a +2 armor upgrade and overland flight 1/day though. I'll look it over more closely however and keep that in mind.
Hadn't heard of the witching *cough* robe- will definately look into that. Not sure he'll allow an item from a different AP, but will give it a close look into. Love the spite effect!
The familiar is already pretty well taken care of. Nothing short of a deity can find it at the moment due to absolutely obscene stealth skills (dex + tiny + racial bonus + full skill ranks from me = where did she go?). I pretty much refuse to use her in combat other than to fly in, heal someone, and fly out again and hide.. so far she's been targeted all of once (and they couldn't figure out where she went) though she has been the inadvertant target of some AOE's. maybe i'll take up that cloak upgrade and pass on the one I have to her.
Flying cat in a cape. hmm. wonder if I'll get picked on for that by the group? :)
To all- thanks for the input.
Also, Count Duck- What do I use to become immune to poisons and diseases?
Lastly: crafting staves really isn't my guys gig. We're about one chapter and one book from being done with the AP and with the costs of most staves I doubt highly I'd get much use out of one even assuming I managed to finish it. I did look into buying some but none really looked all that terribly appealing.

I'm not entirely sure "mithril celestial" anything works. Thats a special armor thats already made out of a special material- gold. Much less apply it to a shield.. or is it extrapolated on in another source as well?

On the note of a cloak upgrade: remember that you can enhance magical items such as Cloaks of Resistance or magic weapons by paying the difference between the two "levels".
For example, a Cloak of Resistance +1 costs 1000g, and a Cloak of Resistance +2 costs 4000g; you could upgrade a Cloak of Resistance +1 to +2 for 3000g.

Regardless of the armor I'm probably gonna snag that Witching outfit. It gives a +4 to resistance as well as bonuses to some skills and some other effects. Given we've seen exactly one robe through out the entire AP I can't think that i'll suddenly find something to make the cost a waste.
Also- I don't have craft wondrous, which somewhat hinders me on the doing it myself front.
It is a good idea though.

Nevermind- found the shield reference. still not sure about changing the armor to mithril and making it a Bp though.

They have made other types of Celestial Armor - for example, Celestial Plate
http://www.d20pfsrd.com/magic-items/magic-armor/specific-magic-armor/celest ial-plate-armorfrom the Skeletons of Scarwall AP
As far as the materials issue, I the silver or gold is a reference to color, not material. There are rules for actual gold armor in UC, and it sucks - Celestial Armor shows no sign of a decreased AC and worsened ACP. Further, the shield in the ARG is a "Heavy Steel Shield", bolding mine.

Persistant and Bouncing spell metamagic rods are good for a witch, since so many of the spells are SoD or SoS, and these will increase the odds of one of those spells sticking to somebody.
Persistent on a Rod plus a Quickened Ill Omen will generally ensure they stick to exactly who it was you wanted dead :)
Its pretty scary, honestly.

JJ (i.e. the developer) has said that you can't alter the metal of Celestial to get a better benefit. Celestial is essentially "improved mithril" and replacing it doesn't work within the rules.
While they did make other armors from it (full plate as you stated) it was done by just replacin the underlying armor not by tacking on a "superior" metal to get greater benefit in that direction.
That being said, I may very well upgrade my shield to the celestial one as it appears to be an upgrade. Will be on the look out to possibly upgrade armor but will most likely find a rod or something to spend the remainder of the cash on- assuming I don't just go buy a few more scrolls at my highest spell level. (which I think is 7th at the moment).
Still though- thanks for the advice from you and the others.
