A wayang travels into town...

What do you think would happen? I mean look at how ugly those things are for Christ sake. I think they would be chased out of town with torches and pitchforks personally.

You need to put yourself in a Golarion world, creatures are more common, it would be like meeting a Native American or a mexican for the first time, different but not kill on site unless they something bad.

Uh, gonna have to disagree with you on that one. A Wayang is like a little isolationist shadow creature from the Dragon Empires.. they're not exactly common on Golarion, either.

Outside of the Dragon Empires:
Yes, you would most likely be chased out of town if not KOS to overzealous guards thinking you were a goblin.

Inside of the Dragon Empires:
You would probably be distrusted and asked to leave most establishments, though probably not KOS.

Silver Crusade

Depends on where the town is, the local culture, how they enter the town, how they behave, how their companions behave, factor in recent events, what measures the wayang takes to fit in or keep hidden, etc.

The Exchange

It would be lumped in with the monstrous races immediately by anyone that did not know what it is, it is very closer to a monster than a demihuman to most peoples perception

Take Leadership

Recruit drag queens

Perfect disguise

In Ustalav? Yea, they'd be dead real fast.

I recall someone asking the same question about Kitsune and Ustalav. The answer was "they'd be a great way to get free silver arrows, from all the people shooting the kistune with them."

They just look like they might be the offspring of hags is all. Btw, I don't appreciate you making fun of beautiful women Gorbacz.

The Exchange

When my group first got ahold of the ARG, one of my friends started going through all the new races and listing where each of them might fit into our ongoing homebrew campaign setting.

When he got to the Wayang he just paused for about a minute and said "Your worst freaking nightmares, I guess..."

sees wayang "kill it with fire!"
