I don't mind the tripe. It's the beef tendon I've learned to avoid. It's not that it tastes bad, but it's like trying to chew on a kong.

Wherever you're going? They're doing it wrong.

The place around here cooks it for at least 18 hours, which is about what it needs. When done right it sort of melts on your tongue like jelly.

Well breakfast was a hot fresh ham and swiss crescent, lunch will be display cooking Cobb salad with fresh cooked chicken

Dunno yet. My lovely fiance hasn't told me. I guess it's a suprise :)

Chicken burrito with lettuce, tortilla crisps, cheese, green sauce, and queso sauce. No beans.

Pickled chicken feet with cucumbers, carrot and radish, which might be my new favorite lunch food.

This just in! Tuna salad melts. Yum!

Thus far it's a glass of sweet tea.

Scarab Sages

Still some work to do, but out of that will come a curry from turkey, with sweet potato, scallion, mushrooms, sweet pepper and pineapple, probably on rice.

Popeye's and Jagerbombs?!?! One or the other sure, but both at the same time? You are a braver soul than I.

There's even bacon tucked between those biscuits.

And a Golem keeping an eye on things.

Ah, well then that is another matter entirely. If bacon is involved then one should have no fear. It is the lubricant that makes life's road smooth. It is manna from ... well not heaven ... but pigs, tasty piggies.

But I think the Golem is eying your chicken and bacon ...

After a long day of overseeing truck departures, I got together with my parents who were taking a trip to some nearby fields and had a tasty Lomo Vetado a Lo Pobre, or Poor Man's Rib Eye, followed by syrup figs with creme.

Basically, a 400gr rib eye with copious amounts of french fries, two fried eggs and a pile of caramelized semi-fried onion.

I think my liver is going to call it quits for the day, though.

The Golem was. We had words. And a couple d20 rolls.

I won initiative.

Lamian nodles with beef, a Muslim Chinese specialty. I watched the guy make a bunch of noodles By hand, then cook them and serve them to me. You always want to find the noodle stalls where the guy is pulling the noodles outside on the sidewalk. It's a pretty good show.

Grilled Yak kebabs. Also some yak butter tea, which IS think is actually quite good, although some people have strong feelings about it.

Are you traveling, St. Caleth?

No, really, what are you getting for lunch today?

Little time for me today, so I'll just have to take a quick trip to the closest Burger King.

Mucinex DM fast max

Apple-Cinnamon flavored Halls

Hot Tea

Slice of bread

Slice of cheddar cheese

(cause I'm just not hungry enough to eat anything else)

Yes, I'm sick. As. A. Dog.

Employer-provided catered taco bar. With cookies. Mmm...

Just a light salad for me today. Been feeling rather shaky in the stomach department the last couple of days.

I am also having "Chinese food". I suspect it bears little resemblance to the food Saint Caleth is actually eating in China.

There's apparently a Mongolian Grill that just opened up in the complex right next to where my office is. Might stop over on my lunch break and get a bowl to-go.

Depends on where in China you are. A lot of the "Chinese food" is based on Cantonese food. Dim Sum for example is pretty similar, although there is some weird stuff thrown in. In Sichuan they have Kung Pao Chicken and Sweet and sour dishes, but they are very different than what westerners are used to.

Then there is the completely made-up stuff like General Tso's Chicken, although oddly enough General Tso was an actual person.

In general though its pretty different, mainly because there is all sorts of weird shit that does not get served in westernized Chinese food.

Sczarni

I've got a leftover quesadilla from Chili's, some taco soup made by my mother in law (With hominy in it! Yum!) and some nice fresh cherries.

Scarab Sages

Chicken fingers and fries.

Meeting some pals at a local uruguayan restaurant in about half an hour. The specialty is the Chivito, a true masterpiece from Uruguay.

Potatoes with home-made cabbage salad made a few years ago by my mother, which I found a few days ago in the cellar. If I stop posting it could mean it wasn't preserved as well as it looked to be... gets a third serving of the salad.

Got this, it was very good. Will be returning. Almost makes up for Qdoba closing. Almost. Still gonna want a burrito from time to time though.

Silver Crusade

And today's less-than-inspiring lunch fare:
tuna salad sandwich
banana
peanut butter cookies
water

from the local 7-11. I need to pack my lunch more often. (But I was suffering temporary memory lapse when I thought I would be getting paid this week...next week. I get paid enough NEXT WEEK to buy more food.)

Liberty's Edge

a toasted cheese bagel with cream cheese

coffee

a plum

Sandwiches with cold frikadeller with a glass of cold milk from bargain bins and a final sandwich with eight or ten year old home-made blackberry jam.

Wow...that looks...awesome. I just got up and was contemplating breakfast. I want THAT for breakfast!

Pizza! Selfmade, includes: mushrooms, fresh tomatoes, tuna, eggs, double cheese and BACON!

Actually, make it three glasses. Why milk does not end in bargain bin more often?
