Tiefling Winter Witch

I attained a tiefling boon for PFS at a con, and want to make a Winter Witch. At level 5, the Winter Witch gains Cold Resistance 5. The tiefling already has this. Is this ability at level 5 just ignored?

Unless it were to state it stacked, yes it would be ignored.

Well, if you ever use a polymorph effect upon yourself, then it would apply.
