So basically I want input about a character concept i've been considering. Essentially I want to do a crap ton of damage with a single arrow.
I know the concept is sub-optimal, but I want to optimize as much as possible within the limited scope.
Thus far I'm thinking either rogue sniper archtype with as many tricks as possible to always get sneak attack.
or
Arcane archer with good spell selection.
Thoughts?

Maybe Crossbowman 7/rogue 13. Every time you ready an action the target lose his Dex bonus to the AC. then you can add the vital strike chain, devastating strike, improved critical, weapon especalization and deadly aim.
Still is not like huge damage, at level 20 it will be like
3d10+7d6+31, wth an average damage of 76.

with graviti bow it would be
6d8+7d6+31, average damage 85

Myrmidarch with gravity bow'd heavy crossbow using ranged spellstrike to hit an intensified reach shocking grasp modified by the empowered magic magus arcana.
With the spell at an effective CL of 10, that would be: 2d8 (xbow) + 4 (deadly aim) + X (bow enhancement, probably 2 higher than item from arcane pool boost) + 15d6 electrical damage, all with a threat range of 17-20/x2 (keen via arcane pool boost, and unlike vital strike or SA damage the spell damage is multiplied on a crit).
If you wanted, you could tack on wpn spec starting at 7th level and critical feats at higher levels, qualifying as a fighter of your magus lvl -3.
