Inquisitor Manyshot Clarification

Rules Questions

Here’s a ponderous question, Nameless the Inquisitor confirms a critical hit using his +1 Flaming Composite Longbow: +3 STR bonus with a manyshot and has the following benefits ongoing, judgment destruction (+4 sacred bonus to damage), prayer (+1 luck bonus to damage), weapon of awe (+2 sacred bonus to damage), and finally has bane effect on (bane: +2d6 to damage). Using his normal base damage of (1d8+4+1d6 fire/x3), what is the correct damage calculation?

+1 Flaming Composite Longbow: +3 STR bonus (1d8+4+1d6 fire/x3)

Dark Archive

Added damage has to go on 1 of the 2 arrows fired by Manyshot, not both.

1d8 + 3 STR + 4 judgement + 1 prayer + 3 bane. The +2 from weapon of awe does not count because judgement is already a sacred bonus.

(1d8 3 + 4 + 1 + 3) x 3

Add the +2d6 from bane to 1 of your 2 arrows after wards. Same with flaming's 1d6.

Pretty sure I'm not missing anything.

From Manyshot:
"Apply precision-based damage (such as sneak attack) and critical hit damage only once for this attack. Damage bonuses from using a composite bow with a high Strength bonus apply to each arrow, as do other damage bonuses, such as a ranger's favored enemy bonus. "

So, all of the bonus damage applies to both arrows, since you are not using sneak attacks and are using no precision damage. Btw, you forgot to include the +2 additional enhancement bonus that bane gives ;)

Edit: Just realized you have overlapping damage types, editing them out of the total.

Arrow 1: 1d8+11+2d6(bane)+1d6(fire)
Arrow 2: 1d8+11+2d6(bane)+1d6(fire)

Each arrow of manyshot gets all the damage from bonuses.

Quote:
Apply precision-based damage (such as sneak attack) and critical hit damage only once for this attack. Damage bonuses from using a composite bow with a high Strength bonus apply to each arrow, as do other damage bonuses, such as a ranger's favored enemy bonus. Damage reduction and resistances apply separately to each arrow.

Each arrow

1d8 +3(enh/bane) +3(str) +4(sacred/judgement) +1(luck) +1d6(fire) +2d6(bane)
total, 1d8 +11 +1d6(fire) +2d6(bane)

1 arrow then gets the critical damage of x3.

Total damage
(1d8 +11)x3 +1d8 +11 + 2d6(fire) +4d6(bane) +shaken(weapon of awe)

edit sorry, forgot the bane... (increase enh +2 and 2d6 damage)

+1 Flaming Composite Longbow: +3 STR bonus (1d8+4+1d6 fire/x3)

1d8+11+3d6 /x3

= 1d8+11{ 3(str)+ 1(wpn enchant)+ 4 (judgment*sacred)+1(prayer*luck) + 2 (enhancement from bane)} +1d6 fire +2d6 bane

* sacred damage bonus does not stack

So is this the consensus?

Critical arrow: 3d8+9 strength bonus+9 bane+12 sacred bonus+3 luck bonus+2d6 bane
Second arrow: 1d8+3 strength bonus+3 bane+4 sacred bonus+1 luck bonus++2d6 bane

Total damage: 4d8+12 strength bonus+12 bane+16 sacred bonus+4 luck bonus+4d6 bane

4d8+44+4d6 bane, plus target shaken for one round

Oops, forgot the flaming damage. So is this the consensus?

Critical arrow: 3d8+9 strength bonus+9 bane+12 sacred bonus+3 luck bonus+1d6 fire+2d6 bane
Second arrow: 1d8+3 strength bonus+3 bane+4 sacred bonus+1 luck bonus+1d6 fire+2d6 bane

Total damage: 4d8+12 strength bonus+12 bane+16 sacred bonus+4 luck bonus+2d6 fire+4d6 bane

4d8+44+2d6 fire+4d6 bane, plus target shaken for one round.

Yeah that looks right to me also.

And a regular manyshot with those same conditions would be:

Regular manyshot arrow: 2d8 +6 strength bonus +6 bane enhancement +8 sacred bonus +2 luck bonus +2d6 fire +4d6 bane

2d8+22+2d6 fire+4d6 bane

Making sure to apply DR/ER to each arrow separately, yes...
