Exotic Feat

Advice

The Exchange

Howdy everyone,

I am trying to see how would i find a way to get an exotic feat by using one of my traits. is there a way to do this?

I am building a Drawven fighter starting as 6th level. what i plan to do is carry a Fauchard. My Normal list of feat is:

1. Weapon Focus
1. Power attack
2. Cleave
3. Combat Expertise
4. Fuerious Focus
5. Improved Trip
6. Lunge
7. Greater Trip

how can i get the exotic feat for free. Without being a humon or Pure Blooded Azlanti? I want to a Drawven race?

Thank you for taking the reading this post.

Heirloom Weapon will get you most of the way there. Not quite as good as actual proficiency, but the only way to get it through a trait that I can think of.

Simple or Martial Weapons apply only.

Liberty's Edge

Alternative: Go for the Lore Warden archetype for Fighter. That gives you Combat Expertise at 2nd level as a free feat, so you can swap in EWP: Fauchard.

Remember that you need to take EWP before you can take that weapon focus, so:

L1: EWP: Fauchard
F1: Power Attack
LW2: Combat Expertise
F2: Cleave (Yes, you still get the standard fighter bonus feat at 2nd level)
L3: Weapon Focus: Fauchard
F4: Furious Focus
L5: Improved Trip
F6: Lunge
L7: Greater Trip

Note: Lore Wardens give up medium & heavy armor proficiency. And they don't get Bravery until 6th level. But they get a scaling bonus to CMD & CMB as they go up in level, which is a terrific thing for a combat maneuver specialist.

Also note all the extra skills that are class skills, and the extra skill points to use on them...

Shadow Lodge

Alternatively use a horse chopper, the only difference (mechanically) is the crit (18-20 for the fauchard, x3 for the horse chopper)
And to be honest the horse chopper seems a hell more dwarfy(i am aware that's not a real word) compared to the fauchard.
The fauchard is essentially a glaive with a hook on the back end where the horse chopper is a halberd with a hook on the back end
